This rarely seen 98 Holiday hardtop is presented in a very stunning color combination of Pueblo Tan and Shoreline Beige 2-Tone with a contrasting 2-tone Pueblo Tan and shoreline beige Interior. This 1955 98 Holiday is and has always been a California and Arizona owned and driven car and is being sold on a clear and clean Box A Arizona title. The power contained under the 98's rounded hood in the form of the much-admired "Rocket" V-8; this version displaced 324 cubic inches. For quieter operation. it was equipped with hydraulic valve lifters. a slightly higher 8. 5:1 compression ratio. and a Rochester 4GC carburetor. which combined to help it develop 202hp at 4. 00 RPM. Like nearly all 98s built. our feature car is fitted with the ultra-smooth four-speed HydraMatic automatic transmission. Putting the column-mounted shifter into "S" mode--which stood for "Super"--noticeably improved performance. primarily by preventing the transmission from shifting into fourth gear.
