hi there and welcome to this auction for an extremely rare ford cortina gt estate . beleived to be just one of seven in total made (special order) from ford . usually these were ordered by the ford bigwigs themselves !!!!!!

An oppotunity to acquire a rare Cortina GT Estate car. discovered after spending 25 years in a lock up garage (not a barn)

42. 00 miles probably genuine as looks honest enough. does require a full restoration but is structually good and will come with 12 months MOT and tax for the winning bidder.

Car includes all GT extras. Lotus steel wheels. big headed rad. 1. 6 gt xflow engine.

All ford enthusiasts will understand how rare and special this car actually is

Below is a little bit of info about the cars taken from the internet:

GT Estate
Ford didn't make any noise about it when it was actually released. and it was only available through their Special Vehicle Order department. but in 1968 a Cortina GT Estate was released. and no record exists of how many were made. They were first listed in July 1968. at £842. compared to £755 for a four-door GT. The drivetrain was identical to the GT saloon. with the exception of the use of lever-arm dampers on the rear suspension to suit the estate body. and 165-13" radial ply tyres and 4. 5" rims as standard. The car also shared the GT's dash and instruments. plus its gearchange. It pulled 96 mph. and had an average fuel consumption of 23. 6 mpg. even with its extra weight. Bit of a zippy shopping trolley.

other info seems to suggest there were only 7 mk2 cortina estates made via special order
