VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
Presented today for your consideration. NO RESERVE. is this absolutely beautiful 1936 Ford 5 Window Business Coupe. It's been said that "pictures are worth a thousand words" but in our opinion. this car shows even better in person! This 5 window coupe is as stock as they come. with an all steel original body and is one of the finest examples of an original 1936 Ford Model 68. 5 Window Business Coupe that you will ever see. For starters. I find there are two schools of devoted followers of '36 Ford's. Not just 'Stockers' or 'Hot Rodders' but. some like the 3 Window and other's the 5 Window version. Personally. we like the ability to SEE out of the car and the 3 Window makes that very difficult. This 5 Window is one of those California State original's with a rust-free-body that retains all of it's Henry Ford steel body and frame.  It has not been cut or altered or had the fenders replaced with fiberglass. Most of these we see are "rodded" with either altered 'Flatties' or Chevy 350's dumped into them in a backyard build. This model has spent over 50-60 years being America's most popular street rod conversion. It's really great to find one still original! Has the original matching 221 C. I. Flat-Head V8 engine that has been completely rebuilt. (21 stud heads) Has the original 3-spd manual transmission as well as the original rear end. both also rebuilt. This 5 Window Coupe is mechanically perfect and runs excellent. idles with a purr at stop lights and accelerates with ease. This 5 Window Coupe has had a beautiful. professional restoration (early '90's) and since then was placed in a private classic car collection. Still in it's Tacoma Cream original colors. it is perfect for cruising to car shows or a trip down memory lane. Both body tags are present as well as the serial number stamped on the left front frame. All gauges. lights. doors and windows operate as they should. as well as the working horn and dimmer switch. Even the locking steering wheel option works! All of the glass is in perfect condition as well.  
The Mohair interior on this 1936 Ford 5 Window is beautiful. It too was restored and is in amazing condition. All original knobs and handles including the cigar lighter and the clock mounted in glove box door. Really a pleasure to look at and to drive in.  It carries it's own rear-mount 'Continental Spare Tire' with factory locking system and has the traditional wind-out front window for ventilation. as well as the crank-up cowl air vent for cool summer driving. This 1936 5 Window still retains the original 16" wheels and chrome V8 hub-caps.  
Maintenance work done to the car in the last year includes:  Fuel tank cleaned and re-lined. new steel fuel lines and filter. new fuel pump and sending unit installed. front wheel bearings replaced. steering gear box rebuilt and the speedometer cable was replaced with a new one. This car looks as good on the bottom as the top and drives like you'd expect a 78 year old classic car (new but. old)Don't miss your chance to own this beautiful. timeless piece of american automotive history!
