1975 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible L-82

 1975 Red Corvette Convertible.   L-82 engine. 3 speed Automatic. Air Cond. . PW. PS. PB. AM/FM Stereo. Tilt/ Telescoping Wheel. Factory Alarm (that still works).   White Soft Top.   Tan interior with leather seating.   Car drives very nice and just put new tires on car. Great show car with excellent drivability.   69. 00 miles.   Same owner since March. 2000.

Mechanically. car is a 7 out of 10.   Strong running motor and have not had an issue with it in the 14 years that I have owned.   Matching numbers motor. transmission. and rear end.   All factory correct right down to the smog pump still on the car (belt disconnected).   Air has not had a charge since 2003 and could use a recharge.   It was converted over to R-134 several years ago. 1999-2000.   I also have disconnected the heater core and redirected them back to the engine to keep the passenger compartment a little cooler on hot summer days.   Not leaking. but the air flow design of these C3's was not the best. and anything to keep your feet from burning up helps.   Besides that's what the convertible option is for.   Put the top down and let the wind blow through your hair.   There is also a small transmission leak under the car.   Last time I had it up on a lift. found a hose clamp was loose and tightened it up.   Stopped for the time being. but noticed a small leak this last year while car was stored.   No other issues.

Exterior is a 9 out of 10.   Show car paint.   Car was repainted in 2001.   Stripped down to bare fiberglass.   Car showed no previous body damage.   Car was originally Medium Saddle exterior but was repainted red sometime in mid 80's.   Repainted Torch Red in 2001.   New white soft top to replace black factory top.   Only flaws are two small paint chips (1)on driver fender about 1 inch in size a few inches down  from windshield right on fender/hood seam and (2) on nose of car about 1 inch long just left of center of car.   Also a small 1 inch tear on sail portion on passenger side of vinyl soft top.

Interior is a 8 out of 10.   New carpet was installed (2003). new dash pad. door panels and seat covers(leather) around 2012.   Still had original console. and lower dash  pads. radio and gauges.   Clock does not work. but all other gauges work perfectly.  AM/FM Stereo Radio works great but numbers on the dial have come unglued and have fallen off down inside the radio.  

Of the 38. 65 Corvettes produced in 1975. only 2. 72 came with the L-82 optional engine. and 4. 29 were Convertibles.   Here is a chance to own a rare optioned C3 Corvette Convertible that is ready to drive and enjoy.   I have personally drove this car to the National Corvette Museum and back and on several weekend road trips and would not be afraid to drive this car across country.   NADA values it somewhere between over $27. 00 @ Average retail and $41. 00 High retail.

The reason for selling is that I have not driven it much lately due to my age and medical condition. I find it hard to get out of the car.   Let's face it they are fun to drive. but you are literally laying down on the road. so to speak.   I have found it hard to climb out of the car lately and am looking for a new project to restore (a 55- 57 Chevy Apache Truck- will consider trades).   Car is located in Arnolds Park.
