 Up for auction is a 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Veloce 1600. This Alfa is in outstanding unrestored original condition. It did have a repaint sometime early in it's life but the door jambs. engine compartment. trunk and under carriage are all original paint. When I acquired the car about 6 months ago it had been in dry storage in Texas for some time and not driven since the early 80's. The only clean up done on the underside before photos. was with a hose and a rag and the original body color is evident in the wheel wheels and much of the frame. Since purchase I have gone through the entire car systematically in order to get her running and on the road. The following is a list services recently performed and new parts installed:

Gas tank was cleaned and flushed
Entire fuel system flushed and new hoses installed.
Dual Webers were removed and sent to Mark the Carb Guy in CA for a complete rebuild

Manifold was removed and resurfaced with new gaskets
New mechanical fuel pump was installed
Radiator was re-cored and installed with new hoses
New brake calipers from Alfaholics installed along with new ceramic pads
New master cylinder installed
Brake booster was rebuilt
New s. s. brake lines installed
New ball joints and sway bar bushings
All fluids changed and new filters installed
New cap. rotor. points and plugs
New ignition switch and misc electrical work
New drive shaft center support bearing installed

She starts right up. first turn of the key and runs good. No smoke. Shifts good through all gears with no second gear grind.

Body has minor dents and small imperfections but no body work or filler. Bright work is excellent as well as front bumper. Rear bumper has small dent.
This Alfa is super solid and virtually rust free with the exception of three locations:
*a small area in the drivers side floor to the left of the pedal box See photos of underside and interior floor marked in white. I'm including a complete new drivers side floor panel from Alfaholics with the sale. All metal around noted area is solid.
*some surface bubbling at bottom of drivers side front fender. See photo Still very solid and not through metal
*a couple of very small holes in passenger floor around rubber plug. See photos.

The rest of the car is incredibly solid and rust free. Look at the photos as they tell the best story. Rockers and perfect as well as jack points. I am also including a new set of door hinge pins and replacement bushing as they are worn.

This car still needs some sorting to be really road worthy in my opinion although I drive it around town often. Tires are not matching and worn. timing needs to be set better and mufflers have several holes. However. this is a perfect candidate for a easy restoration.


Carpet was removed before I purchased the car and the battery was located in the trunk by the previous owner to make room for AC which was installed in the early 60's and has since been removed. The dark areas on the interior floor photos are carpet pad residue and not rust.
