1967 Ford Mustang Coupe – V8 project car

This is a really solid 1967 Coupe that came in from California in 2010. It has previously spent time being used for drag racing. so has some parts fitted specific to that. but would make a great project car for either going back to standard. re-commissioning for Drag racing or converting to a track/race car.

The car has a Full roll cage that has been welded in. but could just as easily be cut out if it wasn't required anymore and it has had sub-frame connectors welded in for additional strength to the chassis. The car has obviously been painted and I would guess it was originally a gold car.

In regards to body work the car is actually a really solid car. it will need the lower left rear quarter patch panel replacing due to some denting and at the bottom corners of the rear windscreen. it needs a tiny little bit of rust repair which is normal – but other than that. it will be good to go for a bodywork/fresh coat of paint. I have had a few mustangs and this really is a solid car – frame rails. underside. floor etc are all rock solid!!

The car has had quite a lot of work done and was obviously a well spec'd car in its time so I will list that below. I will also include some parts that will make it easier to set the car back to standard. The wiring loom is all intact. so with an engine and box dropped in it would be running fairly easily – Please note that that there is not an engine/box included.

In terms of spec of the car:

9” axle with Moser shafts and locker/spool diff unit (drum brakes)

Upgraded Lincoln front uprights (larger hubs) with Front Disc brakes

Weld Racing Prostar wheels 15x10 on the back and 15x4 on the front - with Mickey Thompson M/T 28. 0/10. 5-15 rear tyres

Performance rear leaf springs. br>
Racing fuel cell with Aeroquip fittings

CALTRACS tramp bar kit ($320 new)

Rear adjustable damping shocks

Fan cooled transmission cooler

Hurst slap shifter / ratchet shifter

4” 1350 prop shaft

Stock instrument cluster + chopped instrument cluster housing

1969 Mustang front bucket seats (taller back – really suit the car)

Drivers 4 point harness

These parts are included to help get the car on its way or return back to standard:

Stock Radiator looks to be new

Stock fuel tank used

Stock mustang Front uprights (to fit standard discs / wheels)

New window rubbers

Window chrome surrounds

Dash trim

I have all the import papers a duty paid document and pink slip to get it registered. This will be one of the most solid and cheapest project Mustangs in the UK at the moment.

The car comes with no warranty given or implied and I accept no liability after. Just in case no one noticed. it will need to be trailered away and is currently in Banbury. Oxfordshire – about 5 minutes from Junction 11 on the M40 or 5 minutes from the train station.
