1967 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor GT500E

A Genuine 1967 Fastback Mustang. which has been professionally turned into a ‘Gone in 60 Seconds' ‘Eleanor' Recreation.

When the film was released in 2000. the ‘Eleanor' was a huge hit. and 1967 Mustang sales soared.
To find a well built example in the UK. for less than £75. 00. 00 is almost impossible.

This car will make you the star. no matter where you take it.
People will photograph you. and people will film you. this is not a car for the faint hearted!

This car is a dry state California import.
It was imported by a Mr Jones in 2009. MR Jones kept all receipts for parts bought/works done to the vehicle which we have in the history file.

In November 2011. the car was sold to Mr Gilbert. a wealthy business developer.
Mr Gilbert sent the car to Phil King of ‘Classic American Restoration Services' to undergo some major works.

Most of these works are detailed below. within the relevant sections.
In total Mr Gilbert spent in excess of £26. 00. 00 making the car as he wanted. and it shows.

The shell is an original 1967 Fastback Ford Mustang shell. which has had a hand fabricated. custom ‘Eleanor' body kit fitted.
The car is finished in Dupont Pepper grey. with pearlescent black Le Mans stripes.

Correct 7″ front headlamps are fitted. with a full addition of PIAA lighting as used on the Eleanor film car's.

Chrome ‘bullet' mirrors have been fitted. and the car has the correct grill/s. and Shelby GT500 badges fitted.
Overall the bodywork is very good. with only a few small imperfections.

The car has no rust. or corrosion showing anywhere. and the underside of the car is in very good condition.

Newly upholstered black vinyl seats. and black carpet compliment the fully refurbished interior.
Rear fold down rear seats are fitted. and a full length centre console is present.

The Dashboard has had brushed aluminium fascia's fitted. nbsp;along with white faced dials and a Moto Lita steering wheel completes the interior perfectly.

The original 308ci engine has been fully rebuilt. by Phil King (renowned Mustang Specialist) in 2013.

Crankshaft was reground. and con rods have been resized.
New hypereutectic pistons have been fitted with Moly piston rings.
Clevite 77 bearings have been used throughout the engine.
A new ‘mild' camshaft has been fitted. along with new lifters.
All valves and seats have been re-cut. and is suitable to run on super unleaded.
A performer edlebrock RPM intake is fitted. along with a Holley Street Avenger carburettor.
Ignition system is electronic and the engine is finished off with various edlebrock ‘dress up' components. along with billet aluminium pulleys.

In August 2013. the car was dyno'd and produced a respectable result of 239. 9BHP and 345lbs ft

An aluminium radiator has been fitted. with an electric thermostatically controlled cooling fan to help keep things at the correct running temperature.
A custom 2. 5″ exhaust system has been fabricated. and makes a simply fantastic noise.

This car has been converted to a manual transmission. using a new T5 Transmission which feels as new. being very precise and ‘tight'.
All gears engage without any crunching. and no whines are present through the transmission or diff.
As you would expect. the correct mount and correct length (rebuilt) propshaft has been used.

A Ford 9″ rear axle is fitted with 3. 50:1 Richmond gears.

A full flaming river power R&P kit has been fitted. including a tilt column. and is a fantastic upgrade. making the car much more useable.
A power brake booster is also fitted. and the brakes really are much better than expected. with a positive brake feel which is more than adequate.

The wheels are 17×8 Fronts and 17×9 Rears. all with recently new tyres. and all wheels are free from any damage.
