Original Custom Vintage Flathead Classic Car collector

1937 Ford Club Cabriolet I listed this car several months ago and. admittedly. had the reserve set to high. Listing now with no reserve. and a buy it now. No plans to re-list again. and will not entertain offers if it doesn't sell. The only change from before. is now I have the mint original cabriolet door garnish moldings to include with the car. REAL HENRY FORD STEEL. When was the last time you saw one of these as a project car? Fiberglass bodies are always available; real steel is always hard to find. especially in these! Where did all the steel ‘37 Cabriolets go? I don't know. but this one had been hiding; in storage since the 70's. The ultimate “barn find”.

The Good:

        - Major body panels. components and fenders are very straight. solid. original. and unmolested. No idea why the green paint is on the one side. it is not hiding anything.

        -Frame is solid

        -Has a title

        -Not cut up. butchered or modified. this has all the potential to be a “high dollar” rod. well worth the $$$$ and effort to restore.

        -First year of the “fat fender” Fords and the Club Cabriolet style that seats 4 in the passenger compartment. no rumble seat.

        -Very rare car as a survivor. and rarer still. this car appears to have originally been a V-8 60 car. Not that it would be built that way. but an interesting novelty.

        -I have a nice 37 Ford Glove-box Radio for possible inclusion.

-Hydraulic brakes and backing plates.

The Bad and The Ugly:

        -Rust issues. BUT. the floor patch panels and any other parts you might need are readily available

        -Tail pan is in bad shape. BUT excellent reproduction available

        -Missing back seat components. BUT. one of the back arm rests is there to copy for the other side. and springs can be fabricated and/or are available.

        -Broken/partially missing top mechanism hinge point. BUT. have a great replacement plan. At Hershey last year I met a Ford/Mercury convertible components supplier who wants to reproduce the hinge point. and will supply new owner with a new full set cad machined hinge mechanisms as payment for the use of the undamaged side to use as a pattern to replicate.

        -Engine in incomplete. BUT if it is destined to be a hot rod. who cares? Additionally. if the next owner doesn't have a use for the engine and transmission. no problem. I would like to keep the transmission.

The vehicle is inoperative. doesn't have a steering wheel and not street legal. Therefore upon purchase. it must be trailered. This item is not eligible for the eBay Motors purchase protection plan.
