CFN229 is a Kentish registered Austin 10 with sliding hood which was purchased by the owner of the County hotel in Canterbury in 1949. The car remained with the same owner until 1980 where it was purchased by a local man however due to having a seized engine it was quickly sold on to a retired police officer who fully restored the vehicle to her former glory.  
The car was then taken to various classic shows until it was purchased by myself in 1987. I have now owned her for 27 years and she has always been stored in the garage and looked after.  
She has not officially been on the road with a MOT certificate for about 10 years now however she has recently come out of hibernation and after a new fuel line. battery and a HT lead has purred back into life. I have the v5 document in my name and keys.  
The car is is amazing condition for the year but is a project. as this type of Classic should be owned by someone who will enjoy and cherish. I will not list the faults which are minor as if you are serious in the vehicle you will come and see her. she is however ready to be sold and with a little time and interest will by back as a showpiece with minimal expenditure.
The mileage is correct and all the dials and clocks work correctly. She is now ready for sale and can be driven away however due not having a current MOT I would suggest that a trailer is used to transport her.  

I have a full extensive history pack with the car including a written record of all work that has been completed. This also includes the receipt to the original owner for a bit of Paint work on the wings as they had been polished so regularly. The history folder includes some of the shows that the car has been to and a detailed list of service instructions and maintenance program's. I am sure that there are lots of questions that will be asked in relation to this vehicle so please contact me via e-mail or phone.  
The car is here to sell so sensible offers will be considered. I am not however interested in part exchange or swaps. I have set a reasonable starting price as the car is so rare I am unsure exactly what she is currently worth. If any further photos are required please let me know.
