1974 Corvette Stingray. Tuned and Ready to show.

Full MOT with no advisories and Six months Road Tax (which will be tax exempt in 2015)

I have owned this iconic car for 9 years during which time I have spent a great deal of time and cash getting it the outstanding condition you can see now.

The Corvette rolled off the production line in November 1973 and registered in the states in 1974. it came over to the UK from New York and registered on Sept 1997. I brought the Vett Feb 2005 after looking for over a year for the right one. Most C3 Vett's look good from the outside due to the Glassfibre body but it took some time to find one with a good solid chassis which had been treated before the UK weather started to get at the metalwork.

My first work was to inject Waxoil inside the chassis and give it an extra coat of underseal. I ran her until the winter when I stripped the front end and replaced all the bushes. ball joints. trackrod ends. power steering seals. recon brakes. replace shocks etc etc. I also removed the t-top covers and treated the steelwork with paint and waxoil as this can be a problem area if left to the elements.

I ran the Vett over the next few years making some mods like the after market Trush sidepipes from the late 70's which were hard to find and needed new baffles making which sound great as you can hear from the video listed below.

I started on the engine mods in 2011 which included the following parts;

Pro Topline Cylinder heads which have been fully CNC machined to match the Edelbrock Victo Junior single plane Inlet manifold

Silicon chrome valves (2. 05" inlet. 1. 625 exhaust) oversized. Titanium valve springs and Magnum roller rockers. tall rocker covers

High rev hydro lifters. standard cam shaft. timing chain and sprockets

Edelbrock 1411 750cfm Carb. braided fuel line and holley air filter

65k volt distributor. 10mm HT leads

Chrome water pump

As you can see from the photos / video it's a very shiny engine which has loads of power (never been Dyno tested so HP unknown)

This year I replaced the starter motor for a Hi-torque 3hp unit as the modified engine require the extra turnover power. I also replaced the rubber brake hose to the calipers with stainless braided ones.

All the parts I have removed from the car will be included in the sale this includes the following;

Steering wheel. Quadjet carb. inlet manifold. one head (other was damaged on removal). all air con parts. distributor. brake calipers and many other spares / books / etc etc.
