1966 Ford F100 - Dry State TX From New - #'s Matching 352 V8 with Manual Trans!

Ford F100 - 1966 Two Tone Rangoon Red/Wimbledon White. Family Owned From New. 352 Cu In "Three on a Tree"Custom Cab - Styleside - WOW!

This is a Dry State import from Texas. not a shit box that someone has found in a field as so many are advertising on here now. a totally original F100 that is sun baked and was in use up until 1987 until it went into storage in the owners workshops.  
My vehicles are inspected by me in person before purchase in the US - not like the other chancers on here now who buy blind and get a deposit of you "While its on the Water" etc.  
This PU has its original 352 V8 and light duty 3 speed manual transmission "Three on Tree" - the Motor fires straight up. no rattles or horrible noises - a good unit this. The carb is in need of a rebuild as upon firing the engine it leaks fuel at an "Enthusiastic Rate" :-). So I can fire it for a few seconds so you can hear it. but will have to shut it down immediately due to fuel leak. The Transmission selects its gears with ease although you can't move the vehicle under its own steam due to the carb issue.
The body is Fantastic! hardly any dents. Super Straight and virtually rust free. this F100 has Patina in abundance. for me it would be a shame to re-paint it. just clear coat it and use. The arches are all original sheet metal with no mud or crap up behind them - amazing. Interior is just as Ford intended. Red Woven Plastic Bench seat with Foam Cushion & Cody Pattern. 3. 25 Rear End. built June 1966 - please refer to the door tag for info. ALL trim is present including factory badging - an unmolested F100 this. The pictures you are viewing of this example were taken today - not 3 years ago so represent the vehicle exactly how it looks now.
The bad bits: Well. its very good news. the only things I feel worth mentioning are some rust holing around the rain rails of the roof gutters on both sides. the leading edge of the hood will require some isolated attention and a pair of plates the size of credit cards on both floor pans - apart from that its super solid. all rails. inner wings. cab corners. nbsp;springsetc are mustard! The bed is superb only requiring a very small repair approx 3"x8"s long. The passenger glass has broke and will also need replacing also. The truck was laid up in 87 due to the water pump going bad - it was removed but never replaced. all fan and bolts etc are present in the foot well where they were left back in the day and ready to use again. The tailgate is rot free. in fact when pulled into the lowered position the recesses reveal very nice original paint that the sun has not gotten to - very nice indeed. Upon turning the ignition on the Oil light ignites. then extinguishes upon firing the motor just as it did in 66. the oil pressure gauge reads over 60lbs immediately and the "Alt" guage also springs into action - no apparent wiring issues. there is no reason that i believe the speedo would not work as all the others do but cannot confirm this. "Myers Ford" supplied from new. still wearing its dealer rear bumper (Please see pic). tags on plates also indicate last use as 1987 also.
As I said. there are plenty of shit boxes on here that have V8's slung in them which de-code as 6 Cylinder vehicles which will cause problems upon registering. this is as Ford intended - and Super Original!
All lights work. I really don't see there being to much to do in getting this F100 ready for test. just a couple of weekends and some enthusiasm from a DIY mechanic to do the jobs mentioned and any others you would associate with any vehicle that has been in storage for this amount of time. You will also see in the "Parts" picture that the PU also has its original Hub Caps (minus one). all items in picture come with the truck.
It is 48 Years old so dont expect a brand new truck - for those that will. stay at home and don't call me. for the legitimate enthusiast who knows the score. I'll have the kettle on ready for you to inspect over a cuppa. take your time! Please check my feedback - I am a proper person who "Over Describes" to ensure you have all the facts. There is no reason why this F100 could not be cruising to the local shows this season - it really is that original.
