Chevrolet Blazer Monster Truck - SWAP / P/X / W.H.Y ?????

Welcome to the ULTIMATE "Boys Toy" !

This is my 1983 Chevrolet Blazer K5 Silverado 6. 2L Diesel V8 Monster Truck.

She was built in the United States obviously but imported into the UK in 1991. Later in 1998 she was the subject of a major "Body Off" rebuild. At this time the owner must have spent an absolute fortune on her in terms of money. hours and love as this car is in exceptional condition for her age.

As you can see she has had a suspension lift. this has aloud me to recently fit the MASSIVE General Grabber tyres. she also has a fully detailed and powder coated chassis which is totally Rust FREE ! Fully bespoke stainless steel exhaust system which is side exiting and makes an awesome burble ! Front and rear axles are fully painted up as are the prop shafts which now connect to the rebuilt gearbox.

The Engine bay is equally impressive. the engine itself is the superb Chevrolet 6. 2 Diesel V8 and was fully rebuilt during the restoration. It is fully detailed and really is something to inspect. detailed rocker covers. braided hoses. new pipework. NO oil. gunk or sludge anywhere to be seen ! The gearbox was also rebuilt at the time. She has a massive new radiator and a fully reconditioned air conditioning compressor. the fluids in this car are as clean now as the day they were put in. its remarkable !

Very nice refitted interior in dark burgundy velour. She also has an "Old School" Alpine Hi fi system which includes front tweeters. door Two Ways. Rear Three Ways and Two Massive Rear Sub Woofers housed in Bespoke Speaker Boxes colour coded to match the interior. The system is powered by TWO amps which make it VERY loud !

The rear box of the car can actually be removed if you so desire. this would make a great sun trap when cruising about ! The seats are lovely and comfy. acres of room in the cabin and a very commanding driving position. higher than the average Range Rover ! Having said that. it does share one characteristic with a Range Rover. is has a fold down tail gate !

She is marvellous fun to drive. nbsp;Big. Loud. just awesome. not for the faint hearted. people are going to notice you !

I do also have the heavy duty mounting bracket for the spare wheel so its can sit on the back in front of the tailgate.

Despite the engines size she does actually average about 28/30 mpg being a very basic non-turbo Diesel.  With the Overdrive Automatic Gear Box she is actually quite relaxing to drive.

She is taxed and mot'd and very cheap to insure. I have some paperwork but not much as one of the previous owners did not pass on the Trucks History. I have written to them but as yet I haven't had a reply.

Despite this. the car is clearly testament to its restoration. overall its great. maybe a few bits of paintwork required here and there in the future but you'd only notice on very close inspection. and its mechanically BRILLIANT !

Well. time for someone else to have some fun now. I want something bigger !
