Ford Cortina mk1 2 door 1964

This is for just the shell with historic tax free V5 in my name . HD 1964. n log book as a v8 3. 5 deluxe 2 door. Been off the road for a good few years . and is sorned in my name. All rot was removed completely !All pictures available if needed . Lots of proper costly panels replaced. Why look here when you could buy a rotter for a couple of grand??? These days You will struggle to find a straight rotten shell with a valid v5 for £2000 then you have to spend £3-4000 on panels then pay a welder thousands to sort it out. Or you could struggle to do it yourself for months and months . nd don't forget sourcing the panels and waiting months to get them . Or you could get lucky and buy this one. he choice is yours ! All floors chassis sections to front . ings valances front and rear replaced. nd front wing head lamp area panels replaced. . oth lower rear corners closing panel & wheel well replaced. ew drivers side full floor. ront chassis closing panel . ront foot wells & sills . nner sills etc. oth rear arches have been replaced correctly ! . The a posts are excellent . he inner strut towers kits are new . his is a very good shell . t has a modified gearbox tunnel for a type 9 5 speed gearbox . s the original was modified along with the bulkhead for a v8 rover conversion?. have replaced the bulkhead to original . Insides has been etched primed then painted with 5 coats of upol gravitex !. There are a couple of non original modified areas . hich can easily be changed back . or example . plated the inside base of the A post floor area. or strength . nd rear seat area for a roll bar . hat was to be welded in . here is no rust or grot in this shell. Lots of time has gone into this shell. And i was very lucky to get this shell to begin with . am in two minds about selling this as i prefer the look of the pre airflow shells. so im not desperate to sell . Ok so Bits to finish this shell off are :- The front wings still need very minor work . here are also a couple of pin holes on the nearside wing by the sill area etc. ot rot just missed them when welding repair panels in . I had got to the skimming stage . o there are areas of the shell with parking dinks etc . hey have been skimmed with a light coat of filler. can remove it all to show you underneath etc. i have nothing to hide. nd lets face it . his car is 50 years old !It is far from the usual plated filled shells that end up on here passed around etc . The wings look very good and are metal . All gaps were very good when i had the doors on . I have done all of the hard work to this shell . t is ready to be properly prepped and primed . m a welder not a body shop guy . There are butt welded panels to be fettled & smoothed back . would have left them like it . s it's hardly noticable! I think a couple of good days with the flap disc. would have this shell ready for final paint . It's in etch primer and is dry stored to prevent the dreaded tin worm getting in again . So Just to clarify . his is a bare shell . ith front wings & v5 Price I'm Looking for £5000 .
