1953 53 Cadillac Coupe series 62 Caddy Cad rat rod partially restored for sale

1953 Cadillac series 62 Coupe.   This car had a restoration started over 20 years ago. but never completed.   It was repainted. but is starting to show its age.   It has some body filler cracking along the bottom of the rear fenders and some rust bubbles on the doors and rear valance.   The floors and trunk are super solid. no rust through that I can detect. The trunk. cowl and door weather stripping look new.   The windshield gasket looks new.  The dash and interior garnish trim seems to have been repainted.   The rear backup lights work along with the tail and stoplights.   The headlights work. the fog lights aren't hooked up yet.   The horn isn't hooked up.   The temp gauge and speedo aren't working.   The car runs. drives. and stops. I'm not sure if the engine was rebuilt. but it runs super strong but I have not driven it on the road. The car is nearly complete.   Some items I know are missing are the front door panels. the heater blower. and the windshield wipers (might be a few other incidentals missing).   The interior needs to be redone. but all the seats and lower waffle trim are there along with the rear panels and ash trays.   The transmission kickdown is hooked up but not adjusted.     This car has not been butchered. just needs some TLC to be a driver. rat rod. or would be a great car to restore.   The original sombrero hubcaps are included as are the lower stainless rocker trim for the rear fenders.   Clear California title in my name. current Non Op.   Call me at 775 745-1786 for additional information or more photos. The car is located in Reno. NV. and I will be happy to help load on a carrier or may ship within 300 miles for an additional fee.   Inspection prior to bidding is encouraged.   $500 deposit required upon purchase. balance to be paid in cash or check to clear my account before the car leaves.

I have done the following to the car:

Gas tank boiled out/installed new sender

Rebuilt all brake wheel cylinders and master cylinder/ new brake pads

New AC Delco correct battery

New fan belt

Hooked up and adjusted E-brake

Rebuilt Carb
