Citroen id DS19 DS21 DS23 breaking or project

 Citroen DS21 super D with black leather Pallas interior and trim pieces for sale as project for £4000 or will break if majority of parts are are going to be sold.

I bought this DS 21 MOT'd and running very nicely with the intention of restoring her and finishing back to the original Metallic Green colour as in the early photograph. We selected this particular DS as we are a bodyshop and not a mechanics and the mechanical work was in excellent condition with a wealth of history going back to 2002 (date of arrival in UK). In 2003 she there are bills for extensive engine rebuild by Peacock engineering after was looks sounds like catastrophic engine failure. New pistons and liners fitted. exchange clinder head. reground camshaft. 2 S/H Tappets. exchange crankshaft. Oil pump. nd engine mounts. Whilst in it also had new front chasis section. steerinf column. NPH dashboard pod and inertia rear seat belts. In the same year Peacock engineering also replaced the Fly wheel and clutch plate. pilot bearings. hydraulic pump and belt and water pump. Total engine bills approx £8500.

Over the following ten years the car has had numerous small maintenance bills from DS workshop. paris retro and citroen classics suggesting that the mechanical side has been well maintained.

As mentioned we may break this car but it would be a shame as this would make a very good project car. The benfit of this vehicle is that you can see everything that needs doing to make a really good example and the hard bits of the outer body has been completed.

WORK DONE TO DATE; car striped of panels. Door stripped and repaired using metal NOT bodged with fibreglass. Front wings repaired with metal. Good used solid metal (NOT MODERN GRP REPLICA) lower front panel and lower closing panels sourced along with front number plate holder. C post one cut out replacement solid used ones sourced and ready to install.

Work required; The major aspect of the required work is the rear chassis legs they are week around the torsion bar area and require to much time for us to commit to. Rear wings require new leading edge or replacement units. Rear wing hanging channels need replacing. rear elephant ear near side needs replacing. rear panel needs repairing small hole in boot floor. roof needs resealing. One rear suspension cylinder sprang a leak (£100 part)  Front chassis. sills and cabin area seem fine.

Interior  - Bleak leather Seats comnplete with head rests and centre arm rest. no tears in good condition would be fantastic recolonised -£1000 (includes door cards - damaged stitching on one and bent corners ).
Complete engine with hydraulics £1500 - you will need to remove or you could take this rolling on the chassis once other bits are gone.
front wings set one currently in primer- very solid properly repaired £400 each I also have another set of front wings repaired currently in primer but not as original (hand made light fixing bracket and inner arch metal thinner £300 each)
Doors £250 each  fully repaired currently in primer would prefer to sell as set £800 includes glass etc.
