1952 WHITE WC20 TRUCK - VERY RARE AMERICAN TRUCK for sale
Current customer rating: (507 votes ) based onThis sale is for a 1952 White WC20 truck.
I am advertising this for a friend who is reducing his collection.
The truck is a very rare 1952 White. it is an unfinished project. it has had lots of work done and many new parts used. It is UK registered with V5 docs etc. currently on SORN.
The truck has no rust and has had no welding. It was imported from the US in 1992 and has been a dry stored ongoing project since then. The truck was owned by the Sacramento highways department in the US.
The interior is almost completed and looks really nice. It has been refurbed and painted etc and the seat has been recovered. it only needs headlining and floor covering finishing.
The truck has had new glass all round. except the front screen. which was fine. It has had all new window and door seal rubbers etc fitted.
The brakes have been overhauled with refurbed master and wheel cylinders and all new pipes and hoses fitted. The drums have also been overhauled and painted inside and out. The servo needs to be rebuilt and refitted and the brake system commissioned.
The body/cab needs final prep and paint. (paint supplied). It has a new remanufactured front bumper and the chassis is all cleaned down and in red oxide primer. The grill has been refurbed and it has new bonnet badges. The outer rear dually wheels are with it. (taken off for easier transport and storage). and it has a pair of new dual rear wheel arches to be fitted.
The truck starts and runs ok but will need final tuning etc. The engine is a straight six flathead with a 5 speed manual gearbox. The engine was checked over and painted and fitted with a new alternator conversion. it also has a new radiator. fan belts and coil. The engine has good oil pressure.
The truck will need some electrics finishing but it is mostly all there.
The original speedo has been replaced due to a broken needle but is supplied with the truck. the mileage on the original speedo is 84824.
The truck has the original wheel nut spanner and also an original maintainance manual together with an old issue of the Vintage White Truck Association book with an interesting article on this truck written by the previous owner.
The 5th wheel coupling on the rear is not original and is not fitted. it can go with the truck if you want it. (but you dont have to have it if you dont want it!).
This is a good. solid. original and very rare old truck. go find another! It has had a lot of work done and needs minimal work to finish. a bargain at only £7. 95. Ideal for promotional use or for a collector.
More pictures available on request. although I welcome and highly recommend viewing.
Please call me on 07986 911636 if you require any further information or if you would like to view the truck. Viewing is by arrangement and would be at my workshop in Barnston. Essex. which is 15 minutes east of Stansted airport. just off the A120.
The truck is for sale elsewhere so could be removed at any time.
