Up for sale is my 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. I have owned this car for over 20 years and while I've pretty much finished this car with all of the best stuff and love to drive it around. my tastes have changed during that time and I'm looking for something different. Originally a 327 2bbl car with a 4-speed and a deluxe interior. I started collecting parts for it in high school and drove other cars around while I tore this one apart and restored it bit by bit. I still own the original 327 that I would let go with the car for a little extra.

There are so many things to say about this car so. let me start with the body. The body was restored about 10 years ago. The restoration included new quarter panels. trunk extensions. wheelhouses. rockers and new inner fenders. The quarter panels are full quarters with factory seams. The front end was converted to a rally sport front end using original ‘67 rally sport parts and electricals. A 1968 SS stripe was added along with a steel ‘69 cowl hood and new paint. The car was originally Grenada Gold (which accounted for only 11% of production). so it was redone in gold (although a different hue). The front end was built using the Guildstrand mod for better geometry and polyurethane bushings from PST. 1" lower springs with a progressive rate were also installed. Subframe connectors and a PST sway bar were added too. In the rear. new springs 1" lower than stock and competition engineering traction bars were added. KYB shocks all around.

Although the odometer showed less than 75. 00 miles. the whole drivetrain was replaced after the body restoration was completed. The new one has just over 20. 00 miles on it. The rear is a Currie 9" with nodular iron housing and big bearings. It also has a Detroit true-trac limited slip with 3. 50 gears and 30 spline axles. The front brakes are Baer Racing 13" street setup. with Currie's 11" ford drums in the rear. The rims are Centerline Torq-thrust 2's with BFG performance tires. 255-60R16 in the rear and 225-55R16 in the front. The steering box is an AGR quick ratio box.

The engine is a ZZ502 crate motor with a Holley Commander 950 pro fuel injection setup on top. The clutch is a Centerforce housed in a Lakewood scattershield. It connects to the Tremec close ratio 5 speed transmission with . 82 overdrive and a Hurst shifter. The clutch and transmission are rated to withstand over 600 ft-lbs of torque. The motor puts out 502 HP and about 550 ft-lbs of torque with the fuel injection. It breathes through a set of Hooker Headers into Torque-tech 3" pipes and Walker Dynomax high flow mufflers.

The interior is mostly stock deluxe interior stuff. including the original door panels and steering wheel. The console gages have been replaced with Auto Meter Phantom gages and a Summit tach was attached to the steering column. The car has a factory tachometer that works. but the Summit one was more accurate and included a shift light. The original speedometer fills out the gages. A Sony 50 watt CD player/head unit controls a Sound Design amp pumping power to a 10" woofer & two Infinity 6x9's in the rear as well as two Pioneer 5" in the front kick panels. The front seats are Arizen racing seats covered in ‘69 black & white houndstooth. while the rear seat has a ‘68 black & white houndstooth cover to match. The glove box was removed for a place to put the computer that controls the fuel injection & ignition along with a kill switch for convenience and safety.

This car is currently registered. insured and inspected and could be driven anywhere. It gets a respectable 13 city & 17 highway gas mileages. It could do even better with some tweaking. It starts easy and drives awesome. The steering is tight and responsive. The car stays flat in the turns. With the low first gear and a light foot. your grandmother could drive this car to the grocery store and not even know it had over 500 HP. Push the pedal down though. and the Wideband O2 sensor richens up the mixture and sends you moving like a rocket ship. In fact if you aren't careful. those little tires might just break loose and send the tach needle flying up to the rev limiter in second or 3rd.

While this car is located on the east coast. in the mid-Atlantic region. it hasn't touched pavement during the winter since the restoration was completed so there are no road salt corrosion issues. (Yes. the pictures were taken outside the day after a snow storm. They were taken in my driveway which is not paved & was not salted prior to me pulling the car out of the garage. )  That being said. the paint is about 10 years old and has a few stone chips. scratches and dings (see pictures) from being driven regularly during the spring. summer & fall months. The horn doesn't work & there's a small trunk leak from the rear window molding that is lifting in the corners. I've included pictures of all the cosmetic imperfections. which although minor. reduce the value of the car since it is not show quality. I will gladly send more pictures to anyone interested. I'm going to repaint the car in a few months if I still own it. but I'd rather sell it and let the new owner make it their own.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. but as you can see. this car was put together right. using all the best components. At this time. everything important works. including the rally sport headlights. heater and defroster. wipers and washers. etc.

I have a mountain of receipts for the car. as well as all the manuals for all the parts on it. I also have photos of the entire restoration process. This car is the best of both worlds. old sheet metal & looks. a classic interior. with modern handling and reliability. While you can buy a cheaper Camaro. I believe my asking price is very fair for the quality of the parts included. I've not seen one done to this level with a modern engine. fuel injection & an overdrive transmission for less. If you can find one. great. buy it! Just don't low ball me because you saw that 350/350 turbo car with a stock suspension for less. It won't handle as well. it won't go as fast or be as quick off the line. it won't cruise at 2000 RPM on the highway & it won't get better gas mileage.
