Technology is wonderful. Take. for instance. this remarkable 1937 Ford cabriolet. whose very body is the product of modern fiberglass techniques rather than ancient steam-powered presses. It's full of state-of-the-art entertainment and comfort systems. making it a thoroughly modern car that merely looks vintage.



The body is by Gibbons Fiberglass. and fairly accurately captures the styling and sleek art-deco design of the 1937 Fords. Sure. it's been stretched here. sectioned there. and lowered all around. but there's no denying the Blue Oval DNA running through this car's veins. As a fiberglass piece. the sky's the limit in terms of modifications. so all the trim is gone. the grille is smoothly tapered into the fenders. and there are no pesky bumpers or door handles to deal with. Even the running boards are smooth and sleek. Working with fiberglass is easy and the results are spectacular here. with gorgeous black-over-pearl white paint that gives the Ford a very upscale look. like it's wearing a tuxedo. Finish quality is excellent and thanks to the sturdy construction of the high-quality Gibbons body. it feels substantial going down the road. Frenched '39 Ford taillights. a nicely integrated high-mounted stop lamp. and a license plate frame with integral rear-view camera are just a few of the highlights out back. A lift-off top is finished in black Haartz canvas and gives the sleek convertible a slightly formal look and the tight seal of a coupe.



Opulent is the only way to describe the beautifully crafted interior. Basically. you can consider the beautiful. striking bodywork as simply the packaging for what is one of the most amazing interiors we've ever seen. Custom leather buckets are artfully stitched and sublimely comfortable. with every surface around them wrapped in pleasing materials and colors. The soothing white pearl dashboard is full of Dakota Digital instruments in a very cool billet panel. and features like Vintage Air A/C are included. The billet steering wheel is wrapped in matching cream leather. as is the headliner in the custom lift-off Carson hardtop. The centerpiece of the interior has to be the entertainment system. which incorporates a 1200-watt Miami Audio stereo system with AM/FM/CD capability and a custom screen under the dash to manage it all. plus the aforementioned rear-view camera. The trunk is finished to the same standards and neatly incorporates the subwoofer in a custom enclosure that looks fantastic and works as advertised.



The engine is a 355 cubic inch Chevy small block V8 that's built for comfort and reliability. as well as good looks. There's plenty of shiny billet aluminum and chrome. as well as color-matched componentry to keep with the car's overall theme. A big Walker aluminum radiator keeps it cool without effort. Edelbrock supplied the 4-barrel carburetor. and Sanderson headers feed a beautifully built custom stainless steel exhaust system. A Mustang II style front suspension with disc brakes means that it rides and handles like a modern car. and a heavy-duty TH400 3-speed automatic and 8-inch Ford rear end mean that breakage should be a non-issue. Everything underneath is. of course. color-matched as well. and those one-off Weld Racing wheels look spectacular wearing 215/45/17 front and 255/45/18 rear Dunlop performance radials.

TERMS OF SALE  

1. Per the eBay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this commitment are further outlined in the eBay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.   This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
