SELLER REMARKS

With so many highly-modified early Camaros running around. this 1969 SS350 is a refreshing find. It carries its matching-numbers small block V8. and hasn't been transformed into something it's not. Heck. it doesn't even have a cowl-induction hood! If you like them honest. then perhaps this slick hardtop will appeal to you.

Daytona Yellow looks awesome on the early Camaros. and this one sports early-style hockey stick stripes instead of the usual front-to-back SS units. There's no way to conclusively identify a real SS. of course. but this one has all the clues. with and the fact that someone didn't feel obligated to put RS hidden headlights on it is a big plus for many collectors. The car was restored some years ago and has obviously been driven and enjoyed. but aside from a bit of normal shelf wear. it still presents quite well. The paint shines up beautifully with a bit of patina that looks just fine. and the details are still crisp. from the chrome hood inserts to the chrome "gills" in the rear quarter panels. The blacked-out SS grille and ducktail spoiler are traditional SS styling cues. and the chrome bumpers still sparkle. If you're looking for a Camaro that looks authentic. this one nails it.

Camaro interiors are already pretty nice. so there's not much point in modifications when you're going for a stock look. As a result. the replacement seat covers in this SS are duplicates of the originals. right down to the headrests. which were federally-mandated in 1969. The original gauges are in the dash. but since this particular Camaro didn't come with a tach or auxiliary gauge package. it has gained an Auto Meter tach. plus oil pressure and temperature gauges under the dash. A Hurst cue ball shifter lives atop the 4-speed gearbox. and without a console. you can tell this Camaro means business. Even the original AM radio still lives in the dash. another reassuring clue that suggests the restorer took performance seriously. The trunk is spartan at best. but it's also clean and solid. ready for your gear.

The engine is the original. numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 the car was born with in Norwood. Ohio all those years ago. The upgrades it has received are of the bolt-on variety. so if you're into 100% factory correct. it'll be easy to achieve here. On the other hand. this sucker runs so well you'd be crazy to mess with it. There's a Holley 4-barrel on an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake which makes for some entertaining high-RPM abilities. and the long-tube headers bolster the already substantial torque curve. making this a car that loves to rev but is happy in stop-and-go traffic. Chevy Orange paint reminds us this is a Camaro. but upgrades like the accessory drive system. aluminum valve covers. and open-element air cleaner add some personality. It's backed by a 4-speed and a 12-bolt that are easily up to the job of putting the power down. A Flowmaster dual exhaust gives it a snappy exhaust note. and you can't help but be impressed by how clean it is underneath. Traditional Rally wheels wear staggered 205/70/14 front and 245/60/14 rear BFG radials for just the right rake.

Complete with Protect-O-Plate and owner's manual. this is a clean Camaro that only tries to be exactly what it is. Call today!
