The Classic Car Gallery is proud to present this stunning FULLY RESTORED 1956 Ford F100 PICKUP. She was the recipient of a complete. photo documented. rame off restoration by Classic American Steel in 2013. With the objective of creating the finest F100. they started with an all matching numbers frame and cab that was rescued out of a garage in Georgia where it was believed to have spent its entire life. Earl. as the truck was dubbed. received a no expense spared restoration. Every component was disassembled and Earl was stripped down to bare frame. All components large and small were media blasted. measured. tested. replated and assembled to original factory specifications. Earls frame was media blasted and treated to two coats of ceramic chassis primer and a final finish in satin black Eastwood chassis paint. For safety. the factory single master cylinder was replaced with a DUAL MASTER CYLINDER from CPP.  All hubs. bearings. and springs along with the  suspension systems. front and rear.  were media blasted and individually refinished. The DANA 44 rear end was completely rebuilt including a new pinion. axle bearings. spacers and other components. It is set at original OE tolerance and specifications with a rare factory optioned 3. 73 gear ratio which enables the truck to cruise very nicely at 60mph with no problem. The original three speed standard. column shift transmission was completely disassembled. cleaned and checked. All new bushings. bearings and seals complimented the transmission to original Ford specifications. Built by master engine builder Johnny Pruitt of Pruitt Performance. Earls low mileage 272 Y-Block with period correct two barrel carb features a 40 over bore and a mild cam. The factory optioned air cleaner. “ram horn” headers and the addition of the dual exhaust were all popular period correct changes. All rotating/moving parts other than the crank are new. Rods. pistons. camshaft valves have all been replaced with the highest of quality parts. The block was thoroughly checked for OE tolerance prior to boring and the heads were completely rebuilt. Finished in her correct yellow with Argent Silver valve covers. Earls engine is built for reliability and longevity. The preparation for earls Ford factory color “Nocturne Blue” (M0521) was held to the highest of standards. Following a media blast. it was ensured that there was no lingering rust on the body. All the repairs were completed in metal. the first coat of primer was sanded. featherfilled and sanded once again. Earl then received an entire additional coat of primer and a final sand before laying four coats of Dupont color base and multiple coats of Dupont clear. A finish sand and buff was performed which brought out the true shine of the only metallic paint offered by Ford in 1956. Earls bed is red oak with a number of coats of spar varnish for protection. top and bottom. The interior was brought back to life in original OE specification. All knobs. bezels. gauges and seats match OE colors and materials. Earl might be the finest F100 available on the market today. Built to last like the trucks of his generation. he will be a joy to own for many years to come. As noted above. all of this work has been fully photo documented. If you are seduced by price. this isnt the truck for you. if you want the best. please go directly to checkout!!!
