MY OWN PERSONAL CAR. been in uk since early 90s.

currently in storage so will try to get it out next week for some better photos. ( if it stops raining).

still in same condition. pics were only taken last summer before put away for winter around october.

i have keys. v5c. and a stack of history and its story from being imported.

small block 289ci  v8 petrol engine runs very well. BUT. DOES "BREATHE" VERY HEAVILY FROM CRANKCASE AND WHEN YOU TAKE OIL FILLER OFF. SO COULD PROB DO WITH STRIP/REBUILD IF YOU INTEND DOING LOTS OF MILES. ALSO HAS AN OIL LEAK. (getting worse ) FROM THE REAR SEAL BEHIND FLYWHEEL. NEVER BOTHERED ME AS I ONLY USED IT AT WEEKENDS FOR SUNDAY CRUISE OR LOCALISH SHOWS. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BIDDING. !!!!!!!!!!

straight through exhaust system. sounds great without being too noisy.

auto box all good and changes as it should.

power steering and brakes all good.

mildly lowered all round. but still drives well and not too bumpy. still gives a comfy ride.

18" staggered genuine crager 5 spoke triple chrome alloys with good tyres. new from the states only about 6 months old.

bodywork is all very good . few very very small blemishes here and there but hardly anything for a car nearly 55 years old. .

 nice paintwork. has been resprayed at some point but before i got it. nbsp; and whole car polishes up nicely.

very solid underneath. only welding i can see ever been done is a couple of sections on front floor pans. otherwise underneath and chassis all solid and original.

most of chrome very good. though rear bumper is fairly poor and could do with rechrome if you are really fussy.

 full original interior all in good condition with no major wear or rips. dash has been covered in "aztek mexican lowrider style" material as plastic top was cracked.

fuel and temp gauges work but speedo doesnt.

 make someone a nice cheap retro yank for the summer or an ongoing project to put your own mark on. bigger engine. etc. tc.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A 50 YR OLD CLASSIC CAR. AND DRIVES AS SUCH. WITH ITS LITTLE TRAITS AND IDIOSYNCRASIES NOT A 5 YEAR OLD MONDEO. SO CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BIDDING.
