OK Boys here we go. 1966 old school Nova straight axle gasser custom with SS Trim. nick-named "High & Wild"!

I'm listing this to pay for my oldest daughter's college. I used my kids college money to have some fun before they get to have it. I have owned the car for 6 years and rebuilt it into a totally sorted and very reliable hot rod. I have had a ton of fun with it but now my oldest is starting college and it is time to let it go.

This car was built and spent it's life in TX and always stored indoors.

The Nova was always a trailer queen with a very unique history. The original owner bought the car in 1966 as a teenager and immediately did what was was the craze - turned the car into a gasser. He added the straight front axle and had the entire suspension (rear axle and suspension. gas tank. front suspension. etc) all chromed back in the day. He also added Crager SS wheels.

Always a show car with very little miles driven. The odometer shows under 3800 miles. The car has never been raced (it was only built for show). There is no rollbar. there wasn't even any seat belts! (I have a set of lap belts to install).

Also when I got the car the rear axle had an open gear set! Just try to show off doing a 1-wheel burnout - just looks wrong! I installed a new posi with 4:11 gears.   See all updates below.

In 1980 the car was painted candy apple red laquer with gold pinstriping. and a custom Blower Drive Service 6-71 blower was added. and the car was displayed at numerous car shows including World of Wheels. etc. The car was sponsored by a number of maunufacturers including Blower Drive Service. Holley. etc. The owner passed away and the car went to his best friend and it ended up being placed into storage. I bought the car after it had been rescued from decades in storage. It cleaned up great and ran but needed a lot of work.

The intake manifold is a 1-off custom made piece with a blower manifold sectioned onto a tunnel ram. the set up uses a big block (longer) blower belt. Looks super cool with the blower sticking up so far out of the hood!

Interior mint with custom tan leather. new carpet. etc. Paint has several small imperfections but it is 34 years old! The car shines beautifully and looks great. Recently overheard at car show "Man. that's sick!".

New fuel cell. electric pump. braided lines. pressure gages. etc.

New 383 long block and carbs (used original blower it checked out fine and is custom) from Big Al's Toybox. CT (over $15k). Dyno'd at 660 HP. I have all details on the engine. Runs perfect on 91 pump gas. I have barely driven it 100 miles - I'm still breaking it in!

New custom exhaust 3" from headers back with crossover. new mufflers. tucked up and sounds mean but not too loud. You hear the blower whining. I changed the exhaust and took off the glass packs that were way too loud with the new engine - it would set off car alarms as I'm rumbling by!

New polished aluminum radiator with dual electric fans (car still had stock radiator!)

New 4:11 posi (car still had an open gear)!

All original metal. never any rust or dents.

All original glass. new rubber door moldings.

You know you want it! You deserve it! If you have the cash to buy it. this is a better investment than leaving your money in the bank. This car will only appreciate in value. Where are you going to find another car like this built back in the day?

This car will be the hit of your local car show!

I have close to $50k invested in the car. whoever the next owner is will get a unique car at a great price. My reserve is far less than that. but I have all spring to sell it so I am not going to take a low offer.

I have a car lift and can take more pictures and video for serious buyers only.

I can store it until you come get it. I will assist with loading it onto your trailer. $1000 PayPal deposit in 24 hours. balance by cash or bank check in 7 days.

Please contact me only if you are serious and need some more specific information.   I have a clear title. receipts. history and pictures back to original owner. Note: not an original SS. but has SS trim.

NO TRADES PLEASE. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR FINANCES IN ORDER. THANK YOU!
