Have owned the car for 12 years. Stored in Dallas in underground garage. Older frame off restoration by long established Corvette shop in Waterloo. IA. J&J Corvettes. Original 427/4 speed (I have letter to previous owner from shop discussing the conversion parts needed to do conversion. ) Has 350 with a Turbo 400 in it now. (I don't know why they did the drive train conversion. ) I have in possession 40 pages of parts bills and letters to owner from shop.   Dallas is low humidity city so no rust anywhere. Completely unmolested frame. Car won best of show 5 times in 90's. Last win was 1998. (Previous owner would only give me one of the trophies. See picture below. ) Smaller non Corvette specialty shows. Shows 94-100. Bloomington would rate cosmetics. I believe. Top Flight. Car has never been driven since restoration with either convertible top up or hard top on it except for when transported car show. (Never driven in rain. ).  no scratches on panel where bottom of top rest. brightwork outstanding. (Bumpers as new. ). nbsp; no stress cracks (those little crows feet that typically are around the headlights. top of fenders.  around curves in the hood and tail lights. ) Anywhere the body has a curve.  Car dash is flawless. No cracks or repair ever. Comes with original wood steering wheel and radio. Clock still works.

Within 500 miles . I converted to Steeroids Rack and Pinion steering $3. 00). had Bloomington Gold spec restorer Al Knoch seats installed ($900). New Carpet installed $500. new seat belts form Snake Oyl ($450). Complete new brake system (rotors. calipers. lines as needed and master cylinder ($2200). Tru Spoke Wire Wheels ($1670. )  Perfect w/ no curb rash. (Wheels/tires in perfect balance. No Shaking. ) 100 miles ago. 350 motor has mild performance upgrades including  Edelbrock 750 cfm Carburetor. Edelbrock Performer EPS intake manifold. Edelbrock Ceramic Headers. Edelbrock Performer-Plus Cam kit / solid lifters. Dynaflow Mufflers w/ custom exhaust. (Built to fit original frame. ) Hidden upgraded stereo w/ remote. Original radio in dash.

I am in the car over $36. 00 and know it's not going to bring that today.  I have looked at several other 68's out there and can tell you. as my mechanic would tell you at J&B Corvette Specialist. you would spend an easy $20-$25. 00 for the restoration (paint job alone on a straight car would be $8-$10. 00 plus the cost to buy a good car. ) This car's paint work is absolutely beautiful ( See the pic's below. ) I  has one little rock chip on the nose that is too small to photograph (I tried. )  Does not any rock chips on panels below front or rear panels. Paint work is that perfect on a straight body. No accidents. As for flaws. passenger factory glass has a scar on it.

This car shows and drives better than new in every area and starts with a couple turns of the key. You will not be disappointed
