Ford  escort mk2 van 1979 4 speed manual gearbox2. 0 litre pinto engine fitted (standard in oz) front panel correct for 2. 0 radiator not cut about etc Nice fresh black head lining Nice black seat not orignal but much better in my option Black dash top fittedBlack door cardsSport/Ghia yellow needle  clocks fitted with rev counter (standard in oz)Aftermarket steering wheel easily changed if not your cup of tea I have seen worse !Genuine ford steel wheels fitted not availble in the ukExcellent rear doorsExcellent front doors Excellent strut tops still orignalExcellent heater bowelExcellent A pillars  by the front doorsExcellent front panel No windows have ever been cut into this van . vans with windows cut in looks terrible The rear and front headlong has been replaced and is excellent The rear load area in the van has also been carpeted nicely 
The van is a 2 owner family van from new when I bought the van from the younger generation of the familyhe  was just finishing his apprenticeship as a carpenter the family were quite upset he was going to buy a modern van ! But they said as long as it gets looked after I could have it and they had certainly had there use from it :)   
The van runs and drives very well I drive it quite some distances in austrailia  the motor is very sweet and goes really well . she flys alongShe is running the standard rs2000 engine and twin choke carb All the car electrics work and perform as they should The car still has Australian rego which is basically same as our mot. shame it dont count over here ! The paint is really tidy and the van is pretty straight seeing its over 30 years old 
With a little work this could easily be a show winning van . have u tried to find a rust free mk2 van in the uk ? That's right hand drive and not been abused?
Well it's 33 years old and yes it's a ford so of course it has a few small issues but as its ford cheap and easy to fix
Some times it goes into reverse instead of 1st easy to sort out !The rear has a notice at speed I suspect it's a wheel bearing. Again very simple to sort !
