1980 Corvette L48

 Nice 1980 Corvette purchased new and kept in the same family until I bought it Jan 2013. The exterior has a repaint (6 mo. old and professionally done. $3000) using factory the color and the interior is original. The seats are in surprisingly good condition for a car almost 34 years old as is the dash pad and other interior components. The car has glass mirror tops which. to me. don't fit as nicely as the factory painted  tops. but that's what it had when I bought the car. When you look at the pictures note the GM part number is still on the half shafts and as well as the grease pencil marking on the valve cover. The entire heating and A/C system was completely refurbished just prior to my buying the car to the tune of $2500. I replaced the factory exhaust with a true duals and very mellow mufflers. The tires are in very good shape and show very little ware. I also replaced the brake master cylinder not long after I bought the car.  The factory 8 Track has been replaced with a Alpine AM-FM-CD w/ipod connection and really sounds great. The power windows and locks work as they should. I have replaced the seals on the A pillar. B pillar and T-Tops.  This is an 1980 T-Top car and yes it leaks just a bit and most. if not all. nbsp;all T-Tops do if you're honest. The pictures of the undercarriage are just as it appears and has had no undercoating applied.  Yes. you will see some surface rust but it's common and has no rot anywhere. The car was driven from Kansas City to my home by a friend with no problems and I took it to Cruising the Coast last year in Bolixi. MS. with zero problems as well. Got around 18 mpg on the trip at interstate speeds. I have written documentation from the original owner and his family concerning the mileage which is correct according them and adds up to the correct miles on it when I bought the car. We are thinning out our stable and this is the last one to go. I'm just getting too old to keep up the seven cars we had. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to close the listing at any time unless the reserve is met. I won't reveal the reserve. so don't ask. but it's well within the price range of Vette's in this condition. The buy it now price is lower than collector book and. not that it matters to anyone but me. less than I have in the car. I'm not desperate and really don't have to sell.
