1936 FORD

Out of 50+ years of storage in a north central Ohio building is this 1936 Ford Tudor trunkback sedan. Less than 41. 00 actual miles and I will be careful not to abuse the word original as most sellers do. First this car has it's original drive train from factory. About 85% of the paint is original with the drivers door and rear fender having had paint work at some time but over 55 years ago. The interior is factory original and has never been touched and is very nice for a 78 year old car and does not stink. Since we purchased the car in October we rebuilt the transmission. new clutch and pressure plate. We resurfaced the flywheel. replaced the oil pan gasket. new Ford script radiator hoses and fan belt. Rebuilt the carburator. new plugs. new windshield and gasket. both door glass' are new. new muffler and exhaust as well as draining the gas tank and cleaning it and replaced the broken hood ornament with a new one from Drake. We have over 40 hours in cleaning and detailing the car. We have done some touch up and have applied 3 coats of tefflon paint sealant and 2 coats of liquid glass and the cars paint shines very nice for it's age. The car runs. drives and shifts great. a real pleasure to drive. No leaks as of now. All the lights and gauges work except the gas gauge is spotty. The horn does not work and this car has no radio or heater. This car has never had any rust repair and we see no rust now other than surface scum. The back glass is a little foggy but we left it alone. There is a dent about 12" long above the drivers side back window that has been there for over 50 years. Other than fixing the horn and it does need new tires. I would not do a thing to this time machine. The person I bought the car from was only 13 years old when he and his dad went and bought this car in 1959. We have made sure the car runs as it should but we will leave the rest up to the new owner. Remember this is a 78 year old car with scratches dings and chips. It's not perfect but how often do you get the chance to buy an un-restored 1936 automobile. I even have the keys to the trunk lock.
