Hey everyone. /p>
This is the third and final time I'll be trying to sell this truck on Ebay.  I've sold it twice already and both buyers did not follow through for whatever reason.  I do not know a whole lot about this truck. since I bought it through a dealership on consignment.  I took it to a car/truck/bike show to get some more information on it. and I will include all the information that I learned from the old guys who took a good look.  The following information I ASSUME TO BE TRUE.  I am certainly no expert on these things.  Please ask for detailed pictures if you would like to know more about specific things. I will definitely work with you.  Oh and by the way. the truck won in two categories at the car show. "Best of Show. Truck" and "First Place Truck 1950-1974. "  Will include awards in purchase.
Engine - 312 Y-Block - very possibly the original engine.  They commented on and complimented the Thunderbird valve covers.  Stuart Warner gauges.  Got good comments on the headliner as well.   Good comments on the electronics. how everything is centrally wired on the firewall.   Lots of comments on the chrome smokestacks.   The frame was powder coated during the restoration.   Paint is in good shape. but not excellent.  There are a few chips here and there. but mostly is in good condition.  The exception to that statement is the truck bed.  I believe that when the restoration was done. the bed was left untouched paint-wise. and it shows.  The wood in the truck bed seems to be in good shape though. no rot that I can tell.

The driver's side door does not latch properly 100% of the time. I talked to a few people about replacing it and they said the door latch was about $30 and very easy to install. two screws and you're done. I cannot vouch for that statement because I never cared to look into replacing it. I can take a photo of the latch if you would like to see it for yourself.

Ok so mechanically. this truck is great.  Upon purchase I drove it from St. Louis all the way down to Augusta GA. approximately 900 miles.  I had no electrical or mechanical problems at all.  The engine fires up when you touch the key and purrs like a kitten.  It sounds great through the pipes when you step on the gas. but is surprisingly quiet when you are idling.  Obviously you will get constant attention and comments on the truck when you take it out.  People will point. wave. honk. ask to take pictures. and ask you about it.   Electrically. everything works.  I have replaced the headlights. battery. voltage regulator. and alternator. as well as the alternator belt.  It is a 12V system at this point.  Gauges all light up. and there is a cabin fan.  AM/FM radio works. but I have never tested the cassette player as I have no cassettes.  Wipers. blinkers. break lights. all work. Horn works.
I do have title in hand. But due to State Law. GA does not issue new titles for any vehicle that you register that is model year 1961 or older. DMV informed me that as long as the buyer of the truck has a written bill of sale. a copy of the previous registration. nbsp;and the title that I recieved when I bought the truck. nbsp;they will be able to register and title the vehicle in their state without a problem. REPEAT: GA WILL NOT ISSUE ME a new title in my name for this 1954 vehicle. I went down to DMV and insisted on having one but the supervisor said she simply could not do it. citing state law.   I am aware of how shady that sounds but please call any GA DMV and check for yourself and they will confirm. Included in the sale is an appraisal of the truck for $25. 00 for your insurance purposes.
My reason for selling: my finances.  I am young and took on more debt that I wanted when buying this truck.  She was just too beautiful. can you blame me?  It is a lot of truck too. so please be prepared.
Things not present in the truck: air bags.  Seat belts.  Power breaks.  Power steering.  A/C.  I am trying to be as honest and straightforward as possible. because I don't want there to be any surprises.  Trust me. she is a blast to drive if you have the balls and the arm strength.  You feel like a $million while driving this truck.  From personal experience I can tell you that the ladies really like it as well.
Anyway that is all. If you would like additional specific pictures of the truck or pictures of the vehicle at my place of residence please do not hesitate to ask.   The pics posted are the professional dealer photos from the dealership that I purchased the truck from. br>
