1973 Ex-Swiss Military LHD Pinzgauer 712M 6x6 High Mobility Vehicle

Location Nr Maidstone. Kent. UK

One of the ultimate small off-road military trucks - 6x6. portal axles and 3 x difflocks as stock - and under 3500kg. so can be driven on a standard car license. 14 seats. Load bed is 10 feet long. making this a useful workhorse. people carrier. show vehicle or weekend camper. Registered as PLG.

The Pinzgauer 6x6 is a compact. agile vehicle that will get you. 13 of your closest friends. and gear into places that no other vehicle can. Superb ride and handling characteristics excellent due to the fully independent coil and leaf spring suspension. Extremely tight turning radius allows manoeuvrability off road.

Purchased from a Dealer in Switzerland in September 2004. transportation arranged. and delivered by an articulated lorry to me in Kent.

This vehicle is pretty much as it left the Swiss military. with a couple of minor additions - all additions are fitted using stock fittings and can be removed easily.

Mechanics. body. hood. tyres and interior are in good condition. Comes complete with in-service paperwork. detailing every kilometre / journey undertaken with place names. including servicing. oil changes etc. . as maintained by RUAG. the Swiss Military. Original shovel. Original tool kit. Snow chains. Steel tow rope. Wheel chock. Warning triangle. etc. - makes a great show vehicle and has been totally reliable in the 9 years I've owned it. Currently showing 34. 11 miles (55. 36km) only covered 412 miles (662 km) in 9 years. (Terrible. I know! Needs to go to a owner that will use it) Garmin V GPS included. with RAM mount. for easy MPH reading. navigation etc.

Dyna beads in all tyres (auto self balancing. plus spare kit). electronic ignition. civilian cap. leads & plugs. civilian wiper conversion. voltage gauge fitted. head lamp conversion. Original Rear Lights replaced with bulls eye ones. and brake light conversion. Uprated bulbs all round. Spare fan belt. SAE 90 Vintage Gear Oil sourced from Rye Oils Ltd. 2 x Optima Yellow Top leisure batteries. Jerry can. Locking petrol cap. Door locks. Plus other bits and pieces.

Not fitted. but included. 24v CD/Radio & 4 x speakers. High lift Trolley jack. 2 x 12 ton Axle stands. 2 x Personal 24v Fans. Military 24v cab heater.

Plus a memory stick. containing. workshop & parts manuals. loads of documents and pictures.

6 BFG All Terrains fitted. the 6 have covered approximately 412 miles (662 km) since fitted. and the spare is the original Maloya standard fitment.

Bits that need attention – sliding window rubbers leak and a wooden rub rail needs replacing (have drawing and measurements) and just as I prepared to take it down for the mot. blowing exhaust on the flexible coupling. now bandaged.

All the original equipment that has been upgraded has been retained. complete with screws. nuts & bolts etc.

Priced sensibly for a quick sale - £9. 50 ovno.
