1964 GMC Long Bed Pickup (restored hot rod)

Just turned 50!

1964 GMC 1000 long bed pickup

First. this is a no reserve auction.   I've always thought that if I can't trust a seller to even be straight forward with me about what the price is for a vehicle. they surely aren't honest enough for me to purchase a vehicle from them over the internet.   I set the price as low as I would be willing to take and if it actually sells for that little. then I'll really let it go at that price.  

Motor – Bult 350:

Edelbrock intake

Holly 600 CFM carburetor

Spal 16” fan

Copper 4 pass radiator - keeps it at about 185 degrees.

Mallory ignition

Aggressive lopey cam  I don't know the exact lift and duration.

Exhaust dumps right behind the cab (loud – makes car alarms in parking lots chirp and me laugh).

Based on the information the previous owner gave me. it should have less than 6. 00 miles on it.   The odometer shows much less. so the gauges were probably replaced after the motor I'm assuming.   I got the truck from a gentleman whose father had built it and then passed away. so I don't have details about the build process.

Transmission – Turbo 350 with shift kit

Again. should have less than 6. 00 miles on it based on what the previous owner told me.  

The truck had an air conditioning system partially installed.   I will include the parts I got with the truck.   I was told it only needs a bracket for it to be installed.   I've never installed an A/C myself and never got around to paying to have it put in.

Disc brakes (not power) on front.

Power steering

The wheels are Crager.

The tires are diamondback wide white wall radials and have about 1000 miles on them.

The wood in the bed has been replaced and is in good condition.

No rust.

Metal flake roof and dash.

Things you may want to give attention to:

The air conditioning needs to be finished being installed.

It's a driver. not a trailer queen.   Therefore. it has the associated parking lot chips bruises and scratches but still shines and impresses.

The fuel gauge doesn't read correctly.   I don't know if it needs a different sender or what.   The oil pressure gauge isn't hooked up.   My mechanic is getting a parking brake cable made for it and if it isn't here by the time it is picked up. I'll forward it to the new owner once it comes in.

All the other gauges. lights. and etc work just fine.

I'll still accept your bid.   Otherwise. I'll cancel those without feedback history or negative feedback as a buyer.   I'm just more interested in an easy transaction where I don't have to relist it and start over than I am in the final selling price.

There is almost always someone home. so I'll be happy to accommodate anyone who wants to come view the truck in person. which I encourage if at all possible.   I'll probably post some more detail pics in the next few days.   If there's anything specific you'd like to see a photo of or have any questions. just let me know.

Finally. and most importantly. unlike so many vehicles being sold on here by illiterates. my truck runs WELL. not good!
