1964 Ford Econoline Pickup 61 62 63 65 66 67 fomoco GARAGE KEPT for sale
Current customer rating: (608 votes ) based onI have replaced all fuel lines from the tank filler to the carb including the vent. water hoses. heater hoses. thermostat. water pump. belt. front brake shoes. coil (have original working coil). rotor. cap. plugs. condenser. points. rear main seal. timing chain. rear transmission seal. transmission mount. sway bar bushings. glove box insert. driver door hinge pins and resealed them with 3M beige seam filler. and most importantly a NOS turn signal switch from a later Ford van referred to as a GENII so that now it has hazard lights that flash. The speedometer has been cleaned and calibrated. I have also replaced any worn or missing bushing in the shift linkage. The truck shifts as it should from gear to gear there; is no trick or special touch when the bushings are present. There are a few dings and dents but no rust. I was lucky enough to find a tail gate with no rust. however the top was dinged up so I had a cap made. I cut the very bottom edge and put a 1" heavy walled steel tube so the tail gate would not crack. I also sealed any open areas with 3M seam filler. I used readily available Ford F150 cables for supports.
The truck starts and drives with no knocking. smoking or excessive oil loss. The passenger wing window pivot is missing. The heater motor works and the heater core does not leak. however there is no hot air. Other than the problems listed. I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to drive this truck across the country (on back roads of course lol) after we change the brake hoses and re-bleed the brake system. I have looked at the brakes and as mentioned replaced the front shoes but have not replaced any hoses because I was unsure about disc brakes; the hoses looks find and the brakes are good but I would highly recommend taking my offer in helping change out the brake lines. I have the original floor mat in fair condition. the door sill trim pieces and original screws. and the truck's belly pan which are in good condition.
I have listed every defect and issue that I am aware of on this truck. I have climbed under it and done all the work myself. so you will not have any surprises like hob cobbled welding patches or repairs.
I would like to thank the Econoline forums. particularly two members: Jay and Vic for all their knowledge and help with questions.
I AM SELLING THIS TRUCK IN ORDER TO PURCHASE A VINTAGE ALUMINUM TRAVEL TRAILER FROM THE 1940-50's. I AM OPEN TO PARTIAL TRADES IF YOU HAVE A TRAILER SUCH AS A SPARTAN. AVION. STREAMLINE. ETC.
Thanks again for taking the time to look at my truck; I am sure there is too much information but I just wanted this listing to be accurate as I would be reluctant to buy a vehicle on Ebay with a vague description.
