ONE OF 300 PENNANT BLUE CARS FOR 1954! FULLY RESTORED TO ORIGINAL WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE DETAILS! IT RUNS AND DRIVES SUPERBLY! READY TO CRUISE OR SHOW! SPECIFICATIONS Year 1954 Make Chevrolet Model Corvette VIN E54S001853 Mileage 4. 97 Engine 235ci Cylinders Blue Flame Inline 6 Transmission Powerglide Title Clear Color Pennant Blue Interior Color Beige DESCRIPTION First introduced in 1953 at the Motorama display at the New York Auto Show. the Corvette concept was such a hit that GM elected to make a production version. There was only one requirement: the car had to use existing mechanical components from the GM parts catalog. Based largely on the 1952 Chevy sedan. the Corvette wore an absolutely stunning. sensual and futuristic body made entirely of fiberglass. The first production car rolled off the assembly line on June 30. 1953. All 300 1953 Corvettes were finished in Polo White over a red interior and had every “option” available. It was the first and only year they were built in Detroit. For 1954. production moved to St. Louis and increased to 3. 40. The drivetrain was carried over. including a 235ci 150 horsepower Blue Flame Inline 6 (with increased compression and a more aggressive camshaft than in other Chevrolet models) and Two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Once again. all RPO options were standard in addition to the $2. 74 base price of the car. They included directional signals. heater. signal seeking AM radio. 6. 70x15 whitewall tires. powerglide automatic transmission. parking brake alarm. courtesy lights and windshield washer. All said and done. every 1954 Corvette came out to cost $3. 54. 10. Also exciting for 1954 were the inclusion of three new colors! While white remained the most popular (3. 30 cars). cars could also be had in Pennant Blue (300). Sportsman Red (100) and Black (only 4). All but the Pennant Blue retained red interiors; the Pennant Blue received a Beige interior.

We are thrilled to offer this beautiful Pennant Blue 1954 Corvette! Finished in arguably the most stunning shade of blue the 1950s had to offer. this car turns just as many heads today as it did in 1954! Numbers matching engine. and the VIN number indicates that this car was built in the first half of 1954 production. which range from 1001-4640. Further evidence of this are the bullet style air cleaners that were replaced in the second half of 1954 with circular air cleaners. Even after restoration about five years ago. we have every reason to believe that the color was not changed. The car continues to run like-new and it starts quicker than any other tri-carb Blue Flame Corvette we have ever seen.

Our Corvette presents an incredible opportunity to own one of the earliest of America's quintessential sports car. While the early cars weren't exactly powerhouses or barn burners. they have come into their own as wonderful (and very much drivable) investments. Our car had a brand new top installed in December of 2013. It's a great driver that is sure to impress on the street and at shows. We would absolutely welcome any further questions!
