1966 Mercedes 600 Short Wheelbase - RHD for sale

For sale is the iconic Mercedes 600 Short wheelbase. manufactured in 1966. The car is a recent import from America with the car originally being exported from the UK at least over 30 years ago.
The car is in an obvious condition where a full restoration would be required. However. being an import from California. and the fact that these cars were built to possibly the highest standards in motoring history. there is no significant rust on the vehicle in terms of structure. There are rusty panels etc but are easily remedied.  The underside has to be seen to be believed. the metalwork really is in top condition.
There are missing bits of trim and the interior wood has been sun damaged and possibly beyond repair . The same can be said of the upholstery.  
The real bonus of the car is the fact that the V8 runs as sweet as a nut. starting within a few attempts. See the video below  .
The Car is a real rarity. in RHD form there were apparently only ever 342 built.
The VIN number is 100. 012 22000578. translated as :- european car (100. 012). rhd (2). automatic(2) and the 578th built (000578)
The car has all import duties paid. a clear title (USA V5 equivalent. where it shows 1 owner 1980 onwards) and we also have a data card directly from Mercedes. confirming its origin and the fact it was sold from Brentford Middlesex Mercedes way back in 1966.
We can provide you with the evidence the data card. further photos and answer any questions you may have.
There is a reserve on the car set very reasonably. nbsp;we are a restoration company and have decided to move the car on as we have taken on a few more cars recently that we will concentrate our efforts on.  
The winning bid would require a deposit of £250 within 48 hrs of the item ending.
We can delivery UK wide at the fuel cost plus our driver's hourly rate.
