Oldsmobile was created in 1949 by combining its new Rocket V-8 from the big 98 series with the smaller. lighter platform of its six-cylinder models.  This 303 cubic-incher delivers 135 horsepower. giving the 88 an outstanding performance. With that. this car brought thousands of buyers the kind of performance once reserved for high-priced cars.

Offered with both 3-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. the Olds 88 was universally admired. However. while these cars were good sellers. the convertibles were built in only limited quantities.  



This car is mostly original. and only some restoration has been done. The convertible top is brand new. and the paint is not original. The Olds was originally blue we believe.




The Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum is the location for the photoshoot of this classic '50 Olds 88.





The original blue color has been replaced with this attractive red. The car shows very well.









To young people growing up in the United States in the forties and fifties. the Oldsmobile 88 was the ultimate in "cool" rides. The convertible models were sporty. and the engine was powerful.  
















A very clean and unique dashboard is in great condition as are the gauges and controls throughout the car. The original steering wheel is also in place. as well as the door panels.  








This car can get you anywhere you want. a very well maintained interior will impress you the most; the front seats show some aging. but its red leather  will leave you no less than speechless matching the showcased exterior paint.  










Interior is all original as shown. nothing has been restored or upgraded in this stylish '50 Olds 88.

White wall plates come equipped with this car. it is truly a characteristic of the old days. The tires size are 7. 6x15 and the wheel size is 15x5. 5 




























The undercarriage is very clean showing some minor  rust. but overall is in good shape and great condition.

Our preferred method of payment is bank wire transfer. or 3rd party financing. We can work with you if that is a problem. All funds must be in US dollars only. Please be sure to have full payment or approved financing in place before making your final bid. Feel free to call us with any questions.

PAYMENT OF BALANCE DUE

The buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due within 5 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before the vehicle leaves our dealership.

TAX. TITLE AND LICENSE

We are a licensed Texas dealership. It is required that we collect all tax. title and license fees from Texas residents at the time of the sale. We will do all of the title work. Non Texas residents are responsible for paying taxes in his/her state. Overseas customers will be charged a $30. 00 fee for wire transfers. We must collect a vehicle inventory tax of . 002259% and a small documentary fee of $75. 00 on ALL sales.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We can refer you to a number of national and international shippers. Once the vehicle leaves our dealership. we will take no further responsibility for the vehicle.
