About this vehicleThis 1968 Jeep J20 is an original. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver.Seller's Notes A fairly rare vehicle in very good condition, that has already had a ton of money invested, and the price reflects that. But where are you going to find another one?Vehicle Details

This is a Jeep J3000, not a J20. Ebay did not have a category for the J3000.

350 V8, 4x4, power disc brakes and power steering. Dump bed.

Coolest, most fun, and most usable truck you'll ever drive. Everywhere I take it people want to talk about it and take pictures.

These trucks originally had the Dauntless 350 V8, made by Buick for Jeep. When I bought the truck the original engine that had supposedly been overhauled developed a crack in the block. Rather than try to repair it I ordered a complete long block ( including the heads) from S&J Engine in Washington. The new engine has a 7 year warranty, and I have the paperwork. I have put about 1000 miles on the engine and it has had it's first oil change. I used Valvoline racing oil with zddp. The engine cranks and runs perfect, with no smoke, drips, noises, or overheating.

Also, a new clutch and pressure plate was installed.

The truck runs and drives great. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. It's turning about 2200 rpm at 55 mph. No howling, vibration, whining, or shakes. The truck shows 67k miles, and I'm inclined to think that's accurate..

And, it will climb a tree in 4x4 granny low! And did I mention it has power steering and power front disc brakes!

The dump bed is an original factory option produced by Cadet for Jeep, and it works. The oak sideboards are included.

New BF Goodrich tires. New Warn front lockouts.

Lights, wipers, heater, and radio all work. Wiper motor is new.

Exceptionally solid cab, doors, & bed. Windows work. Glass all good.

Gas tank was removed and coated on the inside.

Now, with a 50+ year old work vehicle it would be impossible for me to list every quirk or problem. But here are the main ones:

The engine wiring harness and under dash wiring is sort of a patchwork. Works, but could stand a re-do. The transmission & transfer case drip some. Not disastrously, but I refill them every few months. When I mounted that new tool box, I got it too close to the grease fitting on the spring shackle and the first time I dumped a load it tore a hole in the back of the toolbox. Didn't hurt the grease fitting at all. The heater puts hot air into the cab all the time. Great in the winter time! Not so much in the summer, but that's what vent windows are for. Leaks a little around the windshield. I have the new rubber for it. Gas guage doesn't work. There has been some rust repair and patchwork on the passenger side floor and rocker.

Here are my terms of sale:

$500.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of an acceptable offer. The balance is due within 7 days, and may be by cash on arrival, or bank to bank transfer. I can store the car for up to 30 days after full payment is made.

This is a good enough car that I would be comfortable saying you could drive it home. Or I do have a good place to load, and will work with your shipper any way I reasonably can.

Having said all that, this vehicle is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty of any sort. Once it leaves my property it is the buyer's sole responsibility. All interested buyers are urged to make a personal inspection of this vehicle,or employ a service to do so. I will expedite this in any way I reasonably can.

Please do not bid or make an offer if these terms are not acceptable.

Please ask all questions via the "ask a question " form in the listing. I prefer that all communication is written for the protection of both parties. I generally do not make or recieve phone calls before a sale. After an offer is accepted I will of course make my phone number available.

If you have less than 10 feedback please let me know of your interest in the car and plans for making payment if a deal is made. Otherwise I will ignore any offer

This is as sweet driving and handling unrestored old truck as I've seen, and I've owned and/or driven many of them. If we make a deal and you arrive to pick up the truck and find that I have mis-described it in any way, I will return your deposit....no questions asked. Obviously this would not include minor blemishes which are common to any old car. I have bought a good many vehicles on eBay myself, and have unfortunately had the experience of traveling a long distance only to find that a vehicle was not accurately described. I don't want to do that to anybody. But I do ask that there be reasonable expectations. This is an old car.
