1973 Ford Gran Torino Sport 2-door hardtop, rare N-code 429-V4 power plant with C6 AT (1 of 201 produced). 6Y Gold Glow paint with Ginger Vinyl seats (1 of 269 produced with this paint/trim code) Rallye Equipment Option (1 of 419 produced) All factory gauges work properly except the clock. Originally purchased on April 13, 1973 from Tom Sherlock Ford in Pasadena, CA. Purchased in late 1980's, repainted in 1990, stored in Western New York until three years ago. •New vinyl roof and paint touched up two years ago. Extremely solid car with no rot, floor panels and trunk panels are perfect, not one rust hole (never driven in winter) Undercarriage has usual surface rust for the age of the car. •Two year old battery •Three year old Cooper Cobra tires •Oil, Coolant and Brake fluid were changed.• Motorcraft OEM carburetor was rebuilt and tuned. •New ignition wires, spark plugs, ignition coil, and starter solenoid.•New master cylinder with new front calipers, pads, front hoses, and rear wheel cylinders.•The seats, dash and carpeting were removed, dash was thoroughly cleaned, replaced tachometer with OEM replacement and I replaced all the dash lights with LED lamps. Door panels and kick panels were cleaned and painted. The center console and shifter were refurbished. AM radio was replaced with a new (old stock) Radioshack AM-FM-Cassette (with 3.5mm input plug for SmartPhone), rear speakers are Alpine 6'x9' co-ax speakers. Brand new rear seat belts, ACC factory replacement carpeting was installed.•Two into one Flowmaster FX exhaust muffler. Edelbrock Air cleaner (painted Ford corporate blue to match the valve covers)•Only 86K original miles, Magnum 500 wheels, factory air shocks, •Fully documented Marti Report matching numbers survivor with reprinted original window sticker. Buyer is responsible for shipping or local pick up is available. Car must be paid in full before it's taken. Bank check is acceptable but must clear before car is taken as well.Note: Bumpers had surface rust on top of bumpers so I applied air egress chrome vinyl wrap to them. They look good and nobody has noticed it at cruise nights but as a buyer you should know what you're getting. It drips here and there. Typical for the age, nothing major so I place a drip pan under the engine area. This is a good driver that you can enjoy daily and if you wanted to do a complete restoration you would be hard pressed to find a better candidate. Heater works but the AC hasn't been charged so it does not work. It may need seals or a fitting or just a freon charge. Since it isn't driven daily I didn't feel the need to investigate the AC. Small "bubble" on bottom of the drivers side between door and rear wheel noted in photo above. No other areas that I know of.
