FANTASTIC 1983 BMW E21 316 GREEN

Here we have for sale my Bmw 316 1. 8 M10 BMW E21. She is in absolutely incredible condition as you can see in the pictures having benefitted from alot of recent expenditure.

This car was fortunate enough to leave the factory with alot of extra options at the time. She was rustproofed from new. has a five speed gearbox. electric mirrors. digital clock. sunroof. tinted windows. headrests  and the excellent 1. 8 M10 engine which is bulletproof. This car was built at a time when BMW were renowned for their excellent build quality and it shows. the car puts many modern cars and cars from her time to shame. you wouldn't think she is thirty years old. The car has just under 72. 00 miles on clock. very low bearing in mind the car is now thirty years old. full service history. folder full of receipts. service history. all MOT'S. stacks of history and paperwork. The car is Mot'd until April 2014. she passed with no advisories as expected. she is taxed until the end of January 2014.

The car was subject to a full respray approximately six months ago and the bodywork and paintwork is incredible. The paint has a deep shine and looks fantastic. The car has a tiny spot of surface rust under the rear window. you can hardly see it and some small areas in in the engine bay it is only surface rust and apart from that she is rust free and is as solid as a rock. The car has clearly benefited from being undersealed and waxoiled from new and she does not suffer from any rust in areas that are prone to rusting on these models. The paintwork really does look impeccable. All of the chrome is in excellent condition. the front bumper has been replaced so it is spotless. The interior was subject to a re trim a week ago so the seats have no rips or tears etc and are unmarked. all the door cards are intact. no rips at all. The dashboard has two cracks in it. due to sun damage but is hardly noticeable. The interior is extremely clean and a lovely place to be.

Mechanically the car is first class. she is the most reliable car I have ever owned. I would drive her anywhere and would welcome any test. The engine has benefited from a Weber carb conversion with a manual choke. she drives beautifully. pulls very well and returns good fuel consumption. The gearbox is silky smooth. the brakes are excellent. the front discs being replaced in August this year. There are no untoward noises or rattles. she drives fantastically. The handling has been drastically improved by replacing the standard springs with shortened and stiffened springs. she handles perfectly and sticks to the road. she also looks smarter.

The car has a CD player fitted with uprated speakers in place of the original speakers so no holes or cutting has taken place. the car has a wooden steering wheel which looks lovely. this will go with the car if I get my asking price but if not will be replaced with the original as it was a gift. The stereo will also be replaced with a CD player as this too was a gift. Sorry. Absolutely everything works on this car apart from the sunroof. this is something I would fix to finish her off if I was keeping her. The headlining has two small rips next to the sunroof where the previous owner tried to fix it apart from that the rest of the headlining is spotless.

I am extremely meticulous with the cars I own. When I bought her she was in excellent condition. I have spent a lot of money and time getting her to her current state and she is beautiful. she has been regularly serviced. new HT leads. new distributor cap. new BMW rotor arm. new spark plugs. new BMW air hose. oil changes. carburettor tuned all within the last year. She is regularly polished. always cleaned. she has low miles and is one hundred percent structurally and mechanically sound. I have tried to be as honest as possible. i'm sure there will be some areas i've missed but please contact me and ask. I can't account for every chip or mark on her. that having been said I can't think of anything I haven't mentioned and anyone will be extremely impressed with how clean she is. There is a box of parts from the previous owner who was going to do an electric window conversion. this is something I was not interested in but the new owner is welcome to them.

Now for the boring part. I haven't the time to deal with tyre kickers or timewasters im afraid. I will require the winning bidder to pay a deposit of £200 pounds within 24 hours of winning the auction and the full amount to be paid within 5 days. I am a classic car fan having always owned classic cars and I am only selling my Bmw to start another project. I am not a dealer and am an honest private seller with a passion for classic cars. This is without doubt the best car I have owned and has given me no problems at all so it may be a decision I regret. She has to be one of the best E21's in the country.
