1969 Ford Torino GT Specs and Features

Old-school meets new-school. No expense was spared on this restomod build. It has been rebuilt from the ground up and although the classic bodylines and shape were kept in tact, it has all the features of a modern car.  This car is perfect for someone who likes the look of older cars but wants all the conveniences, technology, and reliability of a modern car. The drivetrain is very similar to what Ford is putting in the new Ford GTs – a twin turbo 3.7L V6.

·        Ford 3.7L V6 with twin AGP turbos with forged internals – custom made pistons from RaceTec and Crower rods to handle 1000HP

o   HP: 625HP @6400RPM (mild tune – can be tuned to get more out of the engine)

o   Torque: 482ft-lbs @5030RPM

·        Ported intake

·        Brisk Racing spark plugs

·        Transmission: 6R80 6 speed custom rebuild (upgraded internals and torque converter) to handle 1000HP

·        Note: Built and tuned for performance including shift points – it's not built for cruising; it's built for power. 

·        Independent Front Suspension with adjustable height shocks

·        Bilstein rear shocks

·        Custom 9” rear end with limited slip differential and built to handle 1000 HP(3.75 ratio, 1350 Billet steel yoke, Ford Motorsports Trac-Lock Posi unit, Timken bearings, 31 spline axles)

·        Custom frame rail extensions to stiffen the body

Brakes and Steering

·        Power brake – electric (if power goes out it allows for 10 brake pedal pumps before it reverts to manual braking)

·        All disc brakes

·        Power steering - electric (adjustable to fine tune power assist)

·        GT wooden steering wheel with integrated horn button

Fuel System

·        Custom fuel tank and filler relocation – moved from license plate location to typical Mustang location with custom fuel door (used the original back emblem)
