Comutacar 1980 Electric Car Citicar Highway Legal Project. This is a 1980 Comutacar manufactured by Sebring-Vangaurd. which was located in Florida. This car and it's sister Citicars were one of the first somewhat mass-produced electric in the United States. It is a two-seater with a top speed of 35 to 40 MPH. Range on a new battery pack is about 30 or so miles. It's a great in-town car.

This particular car is currently non-running since the battery pack is dead. dead. dead. It has the stock type of 48 Volt battery-pack. which consists of 8 6-volt golf-cart type batteries. They are commonly available from you local battery suppliers. etc.

Body condition is decent. as is mechanical. The seat bottoms have some tears. but that is easily repairable. Car comes with complete manuals. and a clear title. The registration is not current.

The car includes a non-installed Curtis 1209 electronic controller upgrade (there are instructions in the manual on how to install the upgraded controller). The car currently has the stock mechanical/contactor speed control mechanism. Also comes with a spare set of new motor brushes. and some other parts.

Buyer will have to arrange and pay for pickup and transportation. Payment is due within 3 days of auction end!!!

Please drop me a message if you have any questions!

Thanks. br>
