My understanding from the previous owner. nbsp;is that the car had been in storage since 2007 and had only recently been re-commissioned.   On investigating further. the previous owner had simply replaced the battery. put a little petrol in the tank and "Hey Presto" it starts.    Anyway. I purchased the car knowing that I had a lot of work to do to firstly get it passed an MOT and then to sort out the body work.   

 

Work Carried Out:   Stripped and repaired the braking system all round with new pads and new brake fluid. full service including strip down and refurbish of the carbs.   The interior was in good shape but decided to replace the seat padding and fit new carpet.    Everything electrical works as it should including the clock (which I understand is as rare as hens teeth)  The chassis was in very good shape and needed nothing doing.   The bodywork. although straight and original without any traces of filler had a number of rust areas which were cut out.   New metal was shaped and welded in where required and then prepared for a complete re-spray (same colour).   

 

The car is now back from the painters. all brightwork has been returned to their correct places and the car is looking absolutely stunning.    Has a new MOT and drives perfectly.    Very responsive.   The car requires nothing further doing to it.   Any inspection welcome.
