Genuine Ford 1965 Mustang K Code Fastback 289 HiPo Fastback Clean Metal 5F09K

Here we have an original 1965 Ford K Code Mustang Fastback which would have been factory equipped with a 289 HiPo and a 4 speed Toploader transmission.   This K Code classic is a project that was begun many years ago that never realized its full potential.   The previous owner. using new sheet metal. began this quality restoration project by replacing sheet metal as he felt necessary like new floors. The panels replaced with best quality metal are as follows:

Note : Check the pictures over the rear end of the snubber bracket that is welded in place on the K models and Shelby's. We also show the dual exhaust hanger inside support brackets under the back seat. I do have the current correct numbered title in hand this is the read deal no doubt.

 When we received this car. it was somewhat disassembled especially on the inside and was missing an array of several different fastback exclusive parts.  We followed the original owners dream of putting it back together in a state of needing some restoring to their standards.  This is a nice car for someone who is willing to restore this pony and bring it to its former glory.

You can easily tell that if there was any rust its now gone so what a perfect start for your dream car. It would be a wonderful project to build as the panels all line up well and fit real nice. You might note there are 5 or 6 paint flaws/chips/dings that are present although they are nothing major. You can also see the paint under the rear fold down area is also red too.   

As we begun this project. we felt that by using the supplied pieces we could bring this car to a moderate state of completion.  We went to our extensive inventory and had to add several items to complete the interior. I also choose to add a small amount of detail work to make it all match.  

As was stated several times in this auction. we received a selection of parts with this car. and did the best we could to put them in place with correct bolts and proper placement of items as they would have been had they never been removed. Please: Concourse owners must accept it as is.

We believe the interior package to be all original including a cardboard heater plenum.   We began to moderately reassemble the inside trying to preserve this rare collector's car integrity. Without the build sheet in hand. we tried to make the best of all the parts supplied. adding the parts that were necessary to complete this. so the new owner could have something nice and original to work with and enjoy once the project is done.

We've watched cars like this one on eBay bring over $25. 00. 00 time and time again.   We realize that our car needs lots of attention. but it also has lots of potential as the Ford pieces separate it from alot of the 'put together' project cars out there.   We are going to offer this car with a reserve of half the going rate. so if you ever wanted to have one of the trued early Pony muscle cars and didn't have the budget to spend the money all at once. this might be the car for you! 

Keep in mind that this car is a trued K-Code with the dual exhaust brackets under the back seat ( see pictures) stored inside many years so it was a garage find with a host of trued Ford parts inside. These don't come along very often!  It was assembled from a variety of sources as we are not sure of the car's origin (except that we bought 2 K codes from a private owner in Maryland who was unable to realize his dream of restoring this nice car.  

It is not going to be a numbers-matching Concourse or Thoroughbred. so what we have represented is the truth as we see it from our many years of experience.   We are offering this clear-titled K Code Fastback as-is. with no warranty. and we have made every effort to provide complete detail and information to allow you to be an informed bidder.   It's a nicer than average project to start with. and when you start with a nicer project car. you end up with a great restored car. This car is nice enough to be proud of. its not a car full of bondo. nbsp;or a clone of something that it's really not.

Local shipping will be between roughly 2. 00 a mile or on within the US longer shipping distance  between $500 - $1200 depending on your location (we're in Jacksonville. FL).   We will ship this car internationally. but PLEASE ask for a shipping quote prior to bidding if we are shipping out of the country.
