The AMG experience in this stunning black beauty is a thrill. it really evokes driving emotions.   I am the true second owner and I purchased this AMG from an MB dealer as a Starmark Certified. this symbolizes that MB has inspected and reconditioned the vehicle to the highest standards.   It was a demo model driven by the dealer's owner. This car has spent all its life in a garage. never stored outside and never driven in snow.   The paint is beautiful shiny.  It has only been hand washed and detailed with Zymol products. usually by me.  There are some normal but very light wear to a car this age. There is light scratch on the driver side rear quarter panel. but barely visible.  Included with the sale are the OEM rims that were original to the vehicle.   They have slight road rash but no major gouges or damage.   Buyer is responsible for shipping of vehicle and wheels.  There is even a never used full spare tire in trunk with the MB tool kit.   The OEM chrome grille has been also upgraded to a more contemporary style black grille.   Also. a very unique AMG hood emblem replaced the traditional three pointed MB emblem.  It really makes this car look even more awesome.  The stock original OEM chrome grille and OEM 3-pointed MB emblem is included.  

I recently had the following service performed:  New AMG brakes: rotors. pads. and calipers. New Rims and New Ultra High Performance Tires with less than 1000 miles. New Mercedes Benz Battery. new air flow sensor. rear control arm and bushings. 4 wheel alignment. new fuel filler cap. rear MB Bilstein shock absorbers. all new backlit bulbs on the instrument cluster. every exterior bulb from front to rear replaced. new serpentine belt. windshield pump. and wiper blade.   I also upgraded the front parking lights to L. E. D.  It's also hard wired for a Valentine One Radar Detector. so if you buy the V1 all you have to do is mount it and connect it to the already installed power cable.  This car has been professionally maintained by MB dealers or certified MB technicians.  All the proper and all necessary maintenance has always been done. Oil changes are with Mobil 1 0W40 full synthetic oil. only Mobil Premium gas used. and only Mercedes approved fluids.   There is absolutely nothing major mechanically malfunctioning.  The engine has two K & N air filters. They are reusable filters. which is washable and then re-oiled.

I bought this car in 2002 with about 10. 00 miles.   I mostly drove this car on the highway for leisure and on weekend getaway trips.   It's my preference for longer drives for it's super comfortable ride and with a huge trunk space.   Also. the kick off power is instant. you'll never get bored of it.   The engine is a 5. 5 liter V-8 that produces REAL power. without delay. 342 stock HP!!!  With the K & N air filters. they claim 5-7% increase in horsepower and fuel efficiency.  It's got a very throaty growl when you accelerate…you really hear the power.   It's not a synthetic or manufactured sound from a tuned exhaust. its real AMG horses growling. I also installed OEM MB Chrome headlight rings which gives another added touch of distinction.   The Xenon headlights. parking lights. and fog lights are all protected with 3M's clear lens covers to prevent breakage and yellowing of the lenses which are super expensive to replace.   Notice my headlights are clear and look brand new.   I have the 2 original keys fobs. valet key. MB Certified Certificate. and all the original manuals.   I'm selling this car because I bought another car and I don't use this car as much.   It has always been in my climate controlled indoor garage.   I also have a battery charger hooked up to keep the battery freshly charged.   No dash cracks.   The leather is perfect and maintained with Pinnacle leather products.   The wood trim is perfect too and maintained with Guardsman Wood Polish to keep the wood shiny and healthy.  It's all mint.   Trunk is clean. and the car smells like a Benz.   I'm not a smoker. so no smoke in the car.   The engine compartment is super clean…not a scratch; the AMG valve cover is new too!  I just loved this car and wanted it to be perfect.

Thank you for looking at my Mercedes Benz CLK55 AMG.   This sports coupe is in showroom condition and it's the best driving car that I have ever been in.   I was able to drive it occasionally for my work but it was mostly highway miles.   This Mercedes has always been stored in the winter and has never seen snow or road salt.   I just don't want to see it sit in the garage the rest of the year as well.   The 2001 CLK 55 was the first fastest production car that Mercedes ever sold in the US.   The 5. 5L 24 valve SMPI aluminum alloy V8 engine produces 342 horsepower. that's 0-60mph in 4. 9 seconds with a top speed of 170 mph.   Even with all of that power I have been getting around 24-25 mpg/highway and 15-17 mpg/city.   This Mercedes is beautifully appointed. It has cool little gadgets. like a First Aid Compartment. Ski Bag. Fold Down Rear Seats. Retractable Rear Headrests with the touch of a switch. and a tow immobilizer switch for added anti-theft.  Also. the roof has the ability to accept a roof rack or a bike carrier.  With such low mileage and with comprehensive maintenance. it still drives and handles like new. The A/C and everything else works on this Mercedes and there are no leaks.   It is ready to be driven anywhere across the country.   There is absolutely zero rust on this car or dents.   Just recently I noticed two small dings in the rear driver side quarter panel.   It really upsets me too. The title is clear.   This CLK 55 AMG is fully loaded with every option available at the time.  Another thing that I have appreciated about this era of Mercedes was that they were the last of the uncomplicated models built.   This CLK 55 AMG has all the bells and whistles but it is not over designed with too many conflicting sensor signals and CAN bus errors that can create a lot of diagnostic time in the shop.  Any mechanic will attest to this.  It is a very easy car to work on since there are no redundant computers running the car.  Most of the options are listed below or elsewhere in this listing.   However. I want to mention a few others that are unique and worthy of some explanation.   The power front seats are heated and also have pneumatic controls that can be set to form fit almost any size or shape of the driver or passenger.   There's a separate small monitor on the dash to check various statuses on the car.   The Xenon HID headlights and fog lights really light up the road and there is also a rear fog light to help other drivers see you in adverse weather conditions.   This coupe also comes with retractable headlight washers. a power rear sunshade. and an SOS and Tool call buttons.   The key FOBs also have a line of sight feature which allows you to remotely vent the car by opening all the windows and sunroof by holding down the open door button for 3 seconds.   The mileage will change because I will drive it a couple a times a week to keep things running smoothly.  It recently passed the NJ Inspection until 10/2018.  This car stands above the rest!  It's an anomaly because considering its age. it's in great shape and not overused.  KBB may show a lower price. but they don't sell cars and they haven't seen this rare German automobile.  In fact. CarFax values this car at $8. 50!  If you are a Florida resident and looking for a great vacation car this is the one.  Don't waste your money and drive a crappy. little disposable. cheap car.   Drive in style and also be safe with this solid well made German car.  You can't get better than this. especially for under $10. 00. Seriously. look around and see what $10. 00 will buy you in a car.   I checked out some used cars out there. they are usually over 100. 00 miles. smell unbearable. and with crazy weird issues. This Benz has none of this.  I am the owner and know all the history.  No dealer will ever give you this!  I am a car enthusiast and own many other impressive cars. so I know how to care for them.

Naturally. there are a few normal wear items: 3 LCD crystals are burnt out on the temperature gauge display.   But not a catastrophe. its a DIY repair or there are many places on the internet that can fix this rather easily and cheaply.  Also. the moon roof is not opening all the way.  It's not a motor issue which is costly. but an issue with the wind deflector.  The drive side window is temperamental when closing.   Therefore. I have lowered the price to reflect the repairs.   Or for those who prefer that I fix it. I will take it to MB dealer. but you are responsible for the additional cost.
