Up for sale is my much loved Classic mini turbo.
Originally the car started out as a mini mayfair 1 litre and the shell was then all stripped down. shot blasted and fully repaired to a high standard.
This was the stage when i bought the shell and engine as the previous spent all the time and money getting it repaired and then moving on with it.
As you can see the shell was basically like new again with all rot removed and new panels fitted. Some of the new panels where scuttle. boot floor. wings. front panel. doors and bonnet!
When i purchased the shell it was then professionally resprayed myself as i am a fully qualified paint sprayer. The paint is a 2k Graphite Black. which has a pearl that sparkles in the sun.
The car was then built at a local garage with no expense spared on new parts.
A list of purchased parts are as follows:New Turbo CarbNew turboNew Radiator Vented and Grooved Disc Brakes with 4 pot callipersNew air filter New Hoses New RegulatorNew mk1 grill with internal releaseNew bumpersNew angel eye headlights. jewel rear lights and indicators. New iridium drift guages at £75 eachNew Dial facesNew steering wheel and boss kitNew DashboardNew CD player and front and rear VIBE speakers. (Under rear seat. and in Dash)Electric boot release (And hidden manual release if battery dies)New mirrors Complete interior from a limited edition mini sevenNew interior handle setMPI steering column with light controls on indicator stalkPush button start13 x 7 Deep dish wheels with excellent tyres all round. New Carpets and Sound ProofingNew adjustable suspension all round There is probably more i have forgotten but as you can see a lot of money has been spent on the car.
When i purchased the engine i was told it was bored to a 1293. i have nothing to prove this but i had spare engine parts with it that shows a lot of work was done.
The car has been put on a rolling road to ensure it was all running as it should. and i believe it put out around 90bhp.
I would strongly advise someone to view the car before buying. as although i have tried to explain everything. it is still difficult to get everything across.
The only reason that i am unfortunately having to sell the car. is that i am going to moving out in a couple of weeks as i have a new job which is further away and cannot keep 2 cars anymore. So having to stick with the boring diesel!
There is no MOT or tax on the car. i could get the car MOT'd at an extra cost if the winning bidder wants. as im confident it will pass. as the car had a years mot when it was first up and running. nd has only done a few hundred miles since then!
I have a intercooler to include in the sale. as the engine is fairly standard at the minute. It is still fast but i was never too fussed about having something too quick.
The car was originally not done as a show car. but still looks amazing and is a car you could use regularly.
There is no rust what so ever. as i purchased the car in november 2010 and was painted in may last year. and has been garaged since.

Only problems i can think of with the car. are as follows:
Passenger window drops a little when winding down. i should have a spare winder i will include with the sale as i believe thats what is at fault.
The front seat belts are blue and brown. as i was originally planning on getting red ones to match the rear red seat belts.
The front seats need a good clean. i am planning on doing this next week if i can get round to it.
The horn only works from a switch. could do with wiring into the steering wheel.
Dont have a lot of history / receipts with the car. but if you know your minis then you will realise how much money has been spent on the car and how good it really is.
The car is still registered as a 1 litre. i will leave this for the buyer to change if they wish.

As far as i know i think i have covered everything. but any questions please just ask and i will be happy to help.
I have lots more pictures of the restoration at different stages!
