Ford Capri 2.8 Injection. 1983

Here for sale is my gorgeous 1983 Stratos Silver Ford 2. 8 Injection Capri

DOB 10th August 1983.   92. 00 Miles. 5 owners.  

This Capri is a rarity as it has NEVER been welded and retains all it's original factory panels incl wings. sills. doors. floors etc etc.

There's no filler on the arches. sills or anywhere else for that matter. nbsp; 99. 9% rust free.   Ziebarted from new.

I have owned this Capri for two years and i have been meticulas with it's recommisioning. i have spent hours finding the correct parts to return her to 100% standard and as she left the factory nearly 30years ago.

The correct mlilage for the car is 92. 00 odd. the first job i did was to remove the tacky white dials that had been fitted by a previous owner. but unfortunately i was unable to save the original speedo due to the glue on the face so a replcement clock assembly was fitted along with new bulbs showing 77. 72.   I still have the original clocks.

Parts fitted during the recommisioning  are as  follows.

Full service to include. nbsp;  All filters. fuel air and oil.   Oil changed. Water pump. new drive belts. thermostat and temp sender unit. Both radiator caps. Plugs. HT Leads. Distributor cap and Rotor arm.

Refurbished power steering rack and tre's

Replacement front calipers. new disc's and pads

Heater matrix

New rear wheel cylinders and brake shoe's.

Rebuilt 5 speed gearbox (by A1 Gearboxes of St Neots) new clutch fitted.

New full Janspeed exhaust incl headers.

5X  Fully refurbished "Pepperpot" 2. 8i Alloys (by Supreme Wheels of Milton Keynes)

4X New 205/60/13 Fulkan Tyres  

Brand new front and rear bumpers. overiders and endcaps

Replacement unclouded headlamps

Dash fasia replaced for an undamaged item

The correct Ford AM/FM Cassette Radio has been fitted

The correct Ford (Matt Black Ariel) has been fitted

New rear lamp lenses.  

New Battery 

The list goes on and on. nbsp; no expense has been spared on this 2. 8i which is now near to mint.

This car is a daily driver and not a concourse trailer queen. out of 10 i would rate her a good 8. 5. she has and undamaged trim without burns or nasty smells and for 30years old looks superb.   None of the normal ware to the drivers side bolsters.

She went straight through her MOT in January without an advise.   Not corrosion anywhere and the Ziebart has done it's job well over the years.

I have taken this Capri as far as i can and it's time now for a new owner to take over to keep and enjoy.   She runs and drives lovely. is well maintained and without anything needing doing.   A sound future investment without doubt.
