The Bentley Arnage was one of the last vehicles developed by Bentley just before ending their long-time association with Rolls-Royce. Introduced in 1998. the new Arnage was to be the British luxury brand's flagship sedan as they entered into the 21st century. The new Bentley Arnage was a big. high-end luxury car with robust horsepower- a true super car of its generation.

The new Arnage was first and foremost a large. luxury sedan. It weighed in at almost 5. 00 pounds and was built on a long. 122. 7” chassis. The overall length was an impressive 212 inches. Under the hood. the Arnage received its power courtesy of a BMW-built. dual overhead camshaft. fuel injected. V-8 engine that produced 349 horsepower and had a 4. 4 liter displacement. It was backed by a five-speed. automatic transmission and. of course. was rear-wheel drive. This powertrain package enabled the Arnage to have a top speed of 149 miles per hour-a very impressive statistic for a heavy. luxury four-door sedan. At the time of its introduction. it was the fastest production four-door sedan produced.

All of the polished wood trim is bright and clean. The glass is free from damage or discoloration. The trunk area shows hardly any signs of wear and retains its correct spare tire as well as the Bentley-issued umbrellas.

Underneath. this car presents well. There is no evidence of any damage. repair or unusual wear to any of the chassis components. The polished. alloy wheels are in excellent condition and the tires are good for many more miles.

Under the hood. the 349 horsepower. DOHC. V-8 engine is clean and nicely detailed. Mechanically. this car has always been properly serviced and regularly driven. The car runs and drives extremely well with an impressive performance. It starts easily. idles quietly. and accelerates smoothly through the gears. The steering and braking are extremely precise and responsive. This car really is a pleasure to drive.

During the eleven years of production. Bentley's Arnage enjoyed extraordinary success at the pinnacle of the luxury sedan market. Like all Bentley's. the Arnage conveyed an air of understated elegance that has never gone out of style.
