With a 444-hp. 1 quad-exhaust Hi-Po 302 engine and a lengthy list of upgrades. proceed directly to the Boss® 302's birthplace and rightful home – the race track. Activate the available red TracKey2 to unlock the Ford Racing powertrain control software with rolling loping idle. full race calibration and 2-stage launch control. The silver key returns you to everyday. fire-breathing “street” mode. Highlights include rear seat delete with cross-car X-brace. BremboTM brakes with cooling ducts. a front air splitter and a TORSEN® differential with 3. 73:1 gear ratio. RECARO® seats. 5-way adjustable shocks. a refined suspension and a new enhanced message center that monitors fluid temps and performance stats are also included. New reflective hockey stick graphics will have you reminiscing about the Boss of 1970. all while you launch into the future.

On the open road. it's best to leave the TracKey at home. So what is the TracKey. you ask? It's an additional ignition key. distinguished by a special red logo. that activates the control module software that's installed by the dealer after taking delivery of your car. When starting the engine. this key adjusts variable cam timing. spark maps. engine braking. fuel control and about 400 other performance parameters to provide a complete race car calibration. This thing just flat turns into a fire breathing dragon… turn the ignition on with the standard key. and the Boss 302 comes to life in "normal" mode. In this setting. ride quality is relatively smooth. and the cabin doesn't rumble with the vibration of the engine.

This particular example has a little over 24000 adult driven miles.   This is a two owner car originally bought at Sam's Ford in Corpus Christi. Tx. where it remained until the current owner bought it to CA in 2015 with 19K miles.   The car is simply in near concour condition.   There are a couple of very minor rock chips on the nose that will be touched up professionally before the car is shipped.   It has been housed in a garage in Southern CA with the Boss Cover over it and is only used as a weekend-driver car.  

The paint and body are nearly perfect. scratch and ding free.   The paint is 100% original and the car has never been in any kind of accident. even lot damage.   The interior is pristine and smells still like it is new.   The owner is the fastidious type and leaves the windows up almost all the time. just to keep unwanted odors from taking out the factory new smell.   The Boss has always been maintained by Ford Dealers and runs flawlessly.   The original owner said he never tracked the car. though we have no way of knowing for sure the car has never been over reved according to the Ford Dealer computer.  

To build an engine worthy of the Boss name. the powertrain team started with GT's 5. 0L as a baseline. then got down to work.   Every component was analyzed. then modified to make sure the Boss 302 could withstand all-day thrashing all the way up to its 7. 00 rpm redline.   Improvements abound. including forged-aluminum pistons. upgraded connecting rods. revised oil pan baffling and much more. Without the benefit of a supercharger. the Boss delivers 444 hp and 380 lb. -ft of torque.  

Only 747 Boss 302 Laguna Secas were built. so if you want this boss of bosses. better hurry and get one because it's probably going to be a classic someday.   Please. don't make the mistake of trying to compare prices on the normal Boss 302 to the Laguna Seca Edition.   There are many normal Boss 302's on the market and just a hand full of Laguna Seca's to be found.  

On public roads or on a racetrack. the Boss will gain everyone's respect.

Kelley Blue Book Dealer Trade-In shows $31692 (24500 miles) and Private Party at $33132. with no option for the Laguna Seca Edition. which added $7000 to the MSRP on these cars. that were sold originally at dealer sticker plus.   If you price the car out on NADA Guides there is a $5000 add for the Laguna Seca Package. showing $37750 for Clean Retail.  

 

This is a turn-key example with the very cool “357” number attached to it's provenance.   The car comes with the Boss 302 Cover and all the goodies in the “Boss 302 Certificate Package”.   This is a no-reserve auction and will sell to the highest bidder.
