It is one of the 400 ordered for the Australian army under Contract Number: 50039.
Australian Army Vehicle 104597 the following information is recorded:
W/O (written off) B of S (Board of Survey) VP/s/47 (presumably an order or file number) 3 BOD Det. (3rd base Ordnance Depot) 15/12/66 (disposal date)
Confirmed totally original from Britist Army Records through the International Champ Society and Australian Army Records through the Australian War Memorial.
Totally original.
Some minor rust in door sill passenger side otherwise completely clean and original.
Mechanically very good.
March 2013 pink slipped passed NSW registration and registered NSW Historic Registration.
58. 00 original miles.
Believed to be the only ex army specially modified hard cover Champ to exist in the world.
