I'm selling this as a favor for a friend.   He purchased it about three years ago from his son-in-law who purchased it about seven years earlier as a project.   At this point everyone seems to have lost interest in the car.   I do restoration work but stick to Mercedes & Jaguar so I wasn't interested but am helping him sell the car.

This car was in storage for all this time yet once we got fuel pumping through the system it fired right up. no smoke and runs really nice.   I did a compression check before it ever started and had 140 Lbs on all cylinders.   I suspect if I rechecked it now it would be higher.   The car is driveable to an extent.   Since it's been off the road for so long and nothing has been done with the brakes I certainly wouldn't put it on the street yet.   I've driven it all around our property and the brakes do work but I'd still go through the whole system before driving it on the road.   There is a problem with the clutch linkage as it's broken at the pivot point at the firewall so you can't engage the clutch.   You can put the car in gear and turn the key to start it and off you go and can than shift through the gears so I know that it all works.

As you can see from the photos there is a good deal of rust on the rocker panels and the spare tire well in the trunk.   The sub-frame is solid and also appears to be solidly attached to the cockpit floor pan.   Also from the photos you can see it needs a new convertible top.

This is either a good restoration candidate for someone who loves these cars or it would be a great donner car if you're restoring one as its got a really nice engine and mechanical's as well as the interior which is in good condition.   Glass is nice and the electric windows work well.   The five alloy wheels are in excellent condition and have a set of Michelin's that don't look like they've even been on the road.   The wheels and tires are likely worth more than the low reserve.
