Ford Falcon 500 XB Hardtop Coupe 1976 V8 Mcleod Horn Car

You are looking at a 1976 Ford Falcon 500 XB Hardtop. This car is in original Barn find/Time Warp Condition. Finished in a rare factory colour called 'Frosted Lime Metallic' and fitted with a matching number 302 Cleveland and Auto. Car was originally sold by Metro Ford on 13/7/76 and the original books and number plates are still with the car. As Metro Ford were a dealer for Mcleod Ford. this car has been fitted with the highly collectable and sought after options of a 'Horn' car. These include the split vinyl roof. left hand sports mirror. heated backlight and factory fitted Aunger 5 slot mag wheels. Please see link for more info on Horn Cars.

The original motor was fitted with an electric choke 600 Holley. Weiand X-cellator Manifold. Electronic Ignition and Pacemaker Extractors approx 10k kms ago. Is also received a new twin exhaust with GT tips. Ford Racing rocker covers and air cleaner were fitted also. The standard air cleaner and rocker covers have been kept and will go with the car. Around this time the brakes we overhauled and the front end freshened up with new springs. pitman/idler arm. spring saddles. etc. While the standard radio is still in place. a Clarion head unit has been fitted inside the glove box with 'top of the line' MB Quart speakers and Rockford Fosgate Subwoofer and Mono Amp. This system cost almost 3k when fitted. The Car has been garaged all its life and whilst it does have some blemishes it's as close to rust free/unmolested as you'll find in a XB Hardtop that hasn't been restored. Please study photos carefully as they form part of the description and more photos are available on request. Whilst this Hardtop is no show car. it is far from a rusted wreck you typically see. You can jump in this car anytime and go cruising. It just recently completed a drive from northern NSW and didn't miss a beat. Make no mistake though. she is tired and does need some love. The interior is still completely original but in fair to poor condition.  Basically this car is a time capsule and has barely changed since it left the factory in 1976. It's still full road registered in QLD and still carries it original plates. The car was purchased with a view to restoring it and turning it in the the 'XB Hardtop' that i dreamed of. But after I purchased the car and did some research.
