Mini Cooper S 1971

I purchased this car several months ago with a view to using it on a regular basis. Unfortunately father time is catching me up and I had difficulty getting in and out. I am having a hip replacement in November so this little beauty has to go!

I have done a bit of research with DVLA and BMH. This Cooper S was first registered to Bridge Clock Motors in Coventry in 1971. Since then it has had 13 owners.

The previous owner carried out a fair amount of restoration and claimed he spent £8000 plus many hours of work. I have a file of receipts and history for the car including Mot's. The speedo has 89. 00 miles recorded but I doubt this is correct.

The car was repainted in 2007 and although not perfect it still looks great. There is no visible rust and the subframes are solid. The Minilite type alloys have been powder coated and fitted with brand new Falken tyres.

The engine was rebuilt a couple of thousand miles ago by it's previous owner and pulls like a train!

As you can see from the photos this is a very nice usable Cooper S. Not concours by any stretch but very nice and attracts lots of attention.
