1929 Ford Model A Sports Coup for sale

The Ford Model A was produced between 1927 and 1931. It was also
colloquially called the A-Model Ford or A-bone among rodders and
customizers and was a huge success for the Ford Motor Company. br/>after its predecessor. the Model T. First produced on October 20. br/>1927. but not sold until December 2. it replaced the venerable
Model T. which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A (a
previous model had used the name in 1903-1904) was designated as a
1928 model and was available in four standard colours. By 4th
February. 1929. one million Model A's had been sold and by 24th
July. two million. The range of body styles ran from the Tudor at
US$500 (in grey. green or black) to the Town Car with a dual cowl
at US$1. 00. By March 1930. Model A sales hit three million and
there were nine body styles available. When production ended in
March. 1932. there were 4. 49. 40 Model A's built. It was the first
Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with conventional
clutch and brake pedals. throttle and gearshift. The Model A's fuel
tank was located in the cowl. between the engine compartment's fire
wall and the dash panel. It had a visual fuel gauge. and the fuel
flowed to the carburettor by gravity. A rear view mirror was
optional.

This circa 1929 Ford Model A Sports Coupé with dickey seat was
brought into the States of Guernsey in 1990 and registered to a
Mrs. Elizabeth Woods from St Peters Port and. whilst there. br/>received a complete 'body off' restoration. Mrs Woods then imported
the car into England in 2001 and sold it to Mr. John Calvert of
Goring-on-Thames. In his custody the car was kept fully maintained
and he also took it to various shows around the Thames Valley
region. The last owner. a Mr. Anthony Ford. purchased the Model A
in September 2011 and set about making sure that everything was
running and working perfectly. During February and March
2012. he purchased a number of spare parts including a new spare
wheel cover from the Ford specialists. Belcher Engineering Ltd in
Norfolk. but. sadly passed away shortly afterwards. Finished in
yellow and black with a fixed canvas roof and brown interior the
Model A Ford Sports Coupé is supplied with a V5C registration
document. the Guernsey registration document. a photographic record
of the restoration. old MoT test certificates. invoices and Model A
club magazines and rally programmes. This very pretty example
starts and runs very well and is ready to be used and enjoyed.
